You apply the felt to the edge of the squeegee prior to working. This is to prevent the squeegee from scratching the paint not protect by the film.

Q: Has anyone used this on stainless steel? I want to put it behind the fridge handle.

This works amazingly well on steel, plastic, carbon fiber. Goes on with almost zero bubbles and looks almost unnoticeable
