“PULSATING FLOYD ! ” 🎸
Pink Floyd is my Favourite Band of all time! I had the original Pulse DVD which l thought was very good at that time, it was in full screen. So l decided to buy the new restored & re-edited MK2 version, which I was a little bit disappointed, with the picture not being full screen, havingbeen shortened at each end, and also it’s a shame that they didn’t put some of the “Animals” album on the DVD? but l must say the sound quality is a slight improvement.Anyway Side 1 is the concert, Side 2 is additional material, but this DVD is definitely worth having !

BRILLIANT!
I am so pleased with this dvd box set. I somehow missed this concert dvd the first time round so when I saw it was to be reissued as a restored package I decided I wanted it. It was in a well known high street record store and I thought at the price they were selling it that it was a rip-off so looked on Amazon. I couldn’t believe it was selling for almost half the price I had expected so it’s a winner. There is always a lot of talk and disagreement over the pre and post Roger Waters Pink Floyd line ups. ‘It’s not the same without Roger’ or ‘It’s not Pink Floyd anymore’. That’s nonsense. A lot of bands go through different incarnations and I like and have the greatest respect for Roger Waters. His solo work is equally as stunning. But the fact is, this is the Pink Floyd that is David Gilmour, Nick Mason and The greatly missed Richard Wright and this concert, packaged with hours of extra footage and interviews etc, is amazing and if you don’t have it and you are a big fan of Pink Floyd you should buy it.Like most other serious Floyd fans, I too wish so much that the remaining members would get back together but it takes nothing away from this great band and concert. It is stunning.

Amazing...
I'm really pleased they have not interfered with the format, what with it being harder to upscale an analogue format to digital. However, what you do get is a lot more on stage footage, there's some extra snippets too which were not on the original VHS release.Where this does come into it's own is the sound. They did a brilliant job. Everything is nice and clear, the vocal work is brilliant, the percussion has some extra bits I had not picked up before and there's also some nice layers on the keyboard work. What's also highlighted is the amount of work Tim Renwick puts in on the guitar. This is best put through your hifi than some mediocre TV speakers. I put this through the optical output of the TV to the optical input of the hifi and it sounded awesome. Loved it.I remember watching this with my dad in 1994 on BBC1 and I became a fan. I loved the music, the show and the musicianship and it's all still as fresh in 2022. An absolute blinding performance in a really nice tidy package. And it's nice to have that blinking light again ha ha.

Simply The Best
Having been introduced to more Pink Floyd every review raves about this. Everybody asks if you have seen it. Well I have and they are all very much right. It really is a classic a must for music lovers. Money well spent

Incredible audio quality
The media could not be loaded. Having owned the original pulsing CD special edition in the 90’s, I was a little apprehensive buying this, but read the reviews.I completely agree, yes, video is older format and less touched up, but the sound, which is what we are after, has been remastered extensively. Sounds brilliant. Have played it through 2.1 and 5.1 systems with both crisp and clear. If you are considering, and love Floyd, then just go for it.
