This is a basic mouse pad. No extra frills, but it looks good, is well made and after near 40 years of PCs, mice and a lot of mouse pads, this is hands down the best mouse pad I've had. It's a simple runner backed cloth pad with a slightly raised sewn border. It feels good under your hand, there are no sharp edges to drag on your skin around the borders and best of all, the mice love it. What should you expect from the company that likely makes more mice than anybody else?

This mousepad is incredibly smooth, and my mouse moves over it well. I have no problem with moving my mouse, and the pad never slips on the table. Overall, a great mousepad!

I'll admit I haven't owned a mouse pad in decades and my impression was of them being cheap, bulky and easy to fall apart, but this is a completely different story. It's nice and thin so it doesn't feel obtrusive at all, it's held together well over several months, and it does make your mouse genuinely easier to use (plus prevents scuff marks on whatever surface you're using it on). Highly recommended.
