Does this have an eraser

Yes, it does, but it is relatively small. It is similar to what you find in other mechanical pencils. Additional erasers are not cheap. Most of the time I use a separate eraser.

What type of lead? 2B or H2B?

2B lead. this mechanical pencil has a nice feel. it is not too light. It has become one of my favorites

Does it come with lead, if so, how much lead comes with the pencil? Or is it just the pencil?

I added lead immediately on getting the pencil, but it came with 3 leads preloaded...1 in the barrel and 2 in the storage bin.

Why does the pencil rattle?

Mine does not rattle when I write with it. If I shake it, I hear the lead moving around inside, but I don't hear a rattling noise.
