Do you put it in the water or on their food? Thanks** A: You put it in their water and YES it absolutely works! I was skeptical, too, before buying it. We 100% recommend it. We have two rats housed in one cage. **Q: What happens if you skip a day? It says on the bottle it's important not to. This made me concerned unto why.** A: If you skip a day you take the chance of smelling that Odor that your trying to keep away  **Q: I use a water bowl for my ferrets. can i pre-mix this water and fill the bowl from that? is so, how much product to how much water?** A: I wouldn't pre mix it because after a while it starts to get little pieces floating around in the water, and it's best for them to have fresh water. But, for a 16 Oz bottle I usually do 2 or 3 pumps. I switched my ferrets over to wellness core cat food. It's a lot better for them than the Marshalls and I stopped using the goodbye odor and it was still had little to no smell. I use about 4-5 pumps in their 16 oz water bottles and shake it up really well. It makes the water cloudy but it has really made a difference in smell. The rat cage is right next to my desk and I sit next to it for up to 8 hours a day. All of my rats are healthy and lively and haven't changed personalities since adding this to their water. My new rats which haven't had this in their water has started smelling up their cage after 2 days. With this added to the drinking water, it never really smells anymore. This stuff is fantastic! Edit 7/22/2011: I received the bottle of GoodBye Odor for Ferrets today and it has different ingredients than the Bi-Odor Ferret Waste Deodorizer with which I've had very good experiences. What's in Bi-Odor (old product): Deionized water, aspartic acid, threonine, serine, glutamic acid, glycine, alanine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylamine, histidine, lysine, arginine, cysteine, proline. May or may not contain sodium bicarbonate, hydroxypropyl, methylcellulose, sodium benzoate. What's in GoodBye Odor (new product): Purified water, propylene glycol, xanthan gum, proprietary amino acid blend (alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamic acid, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tyrosine, valine), propyl paraben, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, methyl paraben. The addition of propylene glycol and xanthan gum seem to make the new product more viscous and, if I understand ingredient labeling correctly, imply there is less of the active ingredients in the new product (the proprietary amino acid blend). I know propyl paraben, potassium sorbate, and methyl paraben are all preservatives and should be relatively harmless.
