Didn't work for me
Well, I'm confused. I've used more than half a bottle of this, with not one successful outcome. Every time I've used it, I've basically had to scrape it off, or bin whatever I'm working on.I've had no crackle effect, only flakey, messy and gungy finishes. I honestly don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or I've ended up with a bottle of this stuff that's faulty in some way. I followed the instructions, watched the manufacturer's video, YouTube videos and made many attempts at various projects, mainly picture frames, with no happy outcome. I tried it on paper, card, chalk painted wood and over an old print I had. I thought perhaps the room temperature was affecting it, so I tried it in cold, cool and warm rooms...same result. I tried painting it on thinly, thickly and somewhere inbetween...same. I've used many mediums over the years, as I'm an artist, and am familiar with these things, but this one has stumped me. I've now given up on this stuff, and will try something else. I bought it, based on the reviews and feel really disappointed that it didn't work for me. If anyone has any advice for me, or can tell me where/if I've gone wrong, I'd honestly appreciate it.

Not great.
I find this hit and miss. Sometimes it works, others it doesn’t. And that is with follow 5e instructions for a thin coat. I’ve used two pots of this. So my usage has been extensive. To be honest, I will now look for another brand. Not highly recommended. But you get a good amount

Excellent craquelure DecoArt Media Paint Finishes, Acrylic, Transparent Crackle Glaze
Marvellous and creates delightful fine cracks. It's really hard to get a craquelure effect as good as this. Used over an acrylic paint base and the cracks brought out with Burnt Umber acrylic mixed with acrylic glaze and wiped back. You just paint it on and about 15 minutes later you get this fine crackle effect.

Best crackle product I have used to date
Bought this crackle on a recommendation and cant say i was disappointed. With just a lighter layer a great crackle effect was produced so i can imagine how it would look with a thicker layer. Ive found a little goes a long way, and i believe this is the best crackle product i have used to date. Would buy again.

does not work
I have been a professional artist for 25 years and either I have received an inferior batch or this does not do what is says in the description.
