I love it because it's a conversation piece for me I have a foundation called hope 4 Xavier my son whose name is Xavier was diagnosed with autism in 1994 Inspired by him and our journey I started this organization and when I'm out people see the blue puzzle piece and it starts a conversation so it serves a that and marketing for our foundation maybe we can partner in the future

The item is as described and is a good size. It may be a little big to use as a lapel pin, but it works perfectly on the strap of my backpack where I display it.

Wear it everyday

so my kiddo has reached an age where there is a hesitancy to announce the autism. We've always been loud and proud - so I expect it's a phase. anyway. we had to fly recently and I wanted something to wear that would be an indicator, but nothing too flashy. He was annoyed with me for wearing the pin but that's another story. the good part is: as we were going through airport security, the workers noticed the pin. through a series of eye contacts, we were able to communicate some information and they modified their behaviour towards my kiddo. end result - we made it through airport screening without being overwhelmed enough to burst into tears or shut down. It was still a pretty high stress experience but the pin and the awareness certainly made a huge positive difference for us. one more thing. I forgot that the pin was on my sweater and it went through the wash like a champ. ;0
