Instructions said load. I watched a video and this electrician said these devices should go on line. So which is right?** A: depends on what you are using it on if a 120 appliance you use the green and one black black to black or to hot side the green to common or ground and wire nut unused line only if it is only used on 120 volts if 230 volts one black wires go to each hot side of what you are connecting to or to both hot sides and the green goes to ground or a black wire one to L1 and one to L2 green goes to ground **Q: will this flip a15 amp breaker?** A: Possibly. It depends on the severity of any power surge. The instructions (that come with this and are also on the Ditek website) say for Type 2 usage "minimum 20 amp circuit breaker is required". The wires on the unit are AWG 12 stranded. I'm using 30A CB in my service panel application. I'm also planning to install a second one at my outside HVAC compressor disconnect which has a 60A CB. I'm a homeowner not an electrician. I would say if it trips your 15A CB during a power surge then you didn't get optimal protection that day. **Q: Can this be mounted outside on the side of the disconnect?** A: The spec sheet for this SPD states a minimum 20 amp circuit breaker. So will this be ok on a disconnect with a 30 amp breaker? **Q: Does this unit come with a locknut? One reviewer has said no. If no where do you buy one?
