Lionel Pennsylvania Flyer Electric O Gauge Bluetooth 5.0 Train Set with Remote

Love the train. Glad I went with O-GAUGE. Very sturdy and has enough weight to sit flat on carpet. Grankids love it. Only complaint is that you can't record your own voice as advertised, VSR. Went online and this is a common issue.

I got this for my grandson (and maybe for me, too) for Christmas. It has great track sections that easily snap together and stay attached. (I mounted it to a sheet of plywood that’s covered with short-pile, outdoor green carpet). Each track section has two pre-drilled mounting holes. The train cars are well-built and have good coupler mechanisms. The remote works great. The app control also works good. I liked it enough to also get a Polar Express model for my wife!

Works as advertised. Smoke feature is great and better than I was expecting considering this is a starter set. Do not use more smoke fluid than directions indicate. A smoke feature that stops working, is intermittent, or only works at high speeds, could be the result of too much oil. Remove locomotive from the track and turn it upside down on a paper towel so oil can drain out of the smoke stack. After a couple hours, place locomotive back on track, add recommended amount of oil and resume running. If smoke continues to be intermittent, with locomotive at idle blow down smoke stack to remove air lock/a stuck plunger. Once excess oil burns off, plunger should work as intended and smoke great.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend's 60th bday. He has everything now. Growing up, a Train set was something he always wanted but with a big family, years ago, he could not ask for it. It is very sturdy, steel tracks, runs smooth, great sound effects and easy to set up. Look on his face, JOY! For children, teens, adults and seniors!!!!

I bought this train for my son but I wish it had more to it to do, All is does is go around and around. it blows whistle and smoke which is pretty cool, and it has bluetooth also, but i believe its more for an older child than an adult.

I am by far no model train expert. I have though owned several different types through the years and to this date though. I will admit I used to avoid the lionel brand because of the higher price, and I personally wasn't a huge fan of the third rail, despite everyone usually recommending them for Christmas Villages. For years I struggled with other brands on the on30 scale that also fits Christmas villages. Every year was a struggle though, to keep the trains operating and honestly just coming apart. When I found this lionel set on sale I got it. I have 0 regrets. I cannot even begin to explain the difference between it and all the previous on30 trains I have used. I have had zero complains about it, runs great, has been super reliable. Honestly I will probably still to Lionel O Scale trains for all my future Christmas Village needs.

This is a great Lionel starter train set. Great quality.

I got this train to replace my old Lionel that we got from my Dad in the 90's. The track system is much better. It stays together and it's sturdier than the old Lionel. I like the remote control for the locomotive engine. I've even let my 3-year-old grandson use the remote to run the train. I think I might want to buy more track, but overall, it fits under well under the Christmas tree and the grandkids love it.
