Great elderberry syrup
My kids love this elderberry syrup! I have tried a number of different brands of syrups and dummies, but this is probably their favorite. They get so excited when they see the bottle, so I am guessing the taste is pretty great. For me, I like to think I am giving them something to help boost their immune system, especially now with so many scary things going around. When my daughter started PreK she was constantly bringing home every virus imaginable, so I started giving her elderberry supplement and it seemed to really help! The following year I made sure to start it off immediately and things were so much better! Same with my son when he started PreK and there were a lot less sniffles and cough going around in our house. So I will continue to use this elderberry syrup, especially with two huge little fans!

Tastes decent, seems effective
We normally use Sambucol syrup. I tried to save money by buying another brand many years ago, & it tasted terrible. This one is not quite as tasty as Sambucol - the sweetness in the aftertaste seems almost cloying - but it's decent enough. It's a little difficult to compare effectiveness, but we did use it for a recent cold going thru the household, & it seemed to provide some symptomatic relief which is promising. I've used other Nature's Way products for years with good results, so I'm inclined to give a thumbs up (though I will revise this if future usage convinces me otherwise)

Great company, good syrup, watch dosing
I've used other Nature's Way supplements before, so I was excited to try their elderberry syrup. The syrup is thick and tastes good. Not as musty as homemade elderberry syrup, and nicer than cough syrup. The one thing I found a little confusing is the dosing. Depending on your child's age, the dose is 1-2 tsp *three* times a day. Other brands have just once or twice daily dosing. Three times for a preventive dose is a bit excessive, too easy for us to forget a dose. The math on the sugars doesn't quite work out. 1 tsp = 3 g sugar, but 2 tsp = 5 g. Shouldn't double of 3 g = 6? Also, if you are giving this 3x daily, the sugars add up: 9-15 g per day, depending on child's age.Overall, it's a good syrup from a good company. I wish the dosing was simpler, and I wish there was less sugar. However my kid likes the taste enough to take it, so that is a huge win!

Delicious, but Small Bottle Size
Nature's Way Sambucus is a great way to boost your immunity. The flavor almost tastes like blueberry syrup that you might pour on pancakes. It has a slightly thick consistency. My kids really like the taste of the elderberry syrup and it's no issue to get them to drink it.One thing to keep in mind is the serving size. For 1-3 year olds, the serving is 1 tsp. 2 tsps for kids 4 and up. That means you only get 24 or 12 servings from this bottle using 1 serving a day. Using this daily, you will need multiple bottles for a 1 month supply even at the smallest serving. The Kids version is a nice option for 1-3 year olds. The regular version of Nature's Way Sambucus is also a 2 tsp serving size with the same amount of calories, but has twice the elderberry extract and can be used by kids too.Delicious and easy way to help your kiddo's immune system out this winter.

Great supplement for Immunity
I got this syrup because I know a medical professional who takes it on a daily basis during the Fall and winter and swears by it that it keeps her healthy and cold and Flu-free all season. She highly recommended this supplement to boost the immune system, and with everything going on lately, I decided to give this a try with my kids. They have been taking the syrup for about a week now, and so far so good, although I do think that this would be even more beneficial during the Flu season. The syrup has a very pleasant berry smell and flavor. My kids love it and I tasted it myself to see what the flavor was like. It's a bit sweet with 3 grams of sugars per dose for up to 3 year-olds, and 5 grams per dose for 4 +. I don't think the company needed to add as much sweetener to the syrup, but I still think that the benefits that this product offers outweigh this drawback.
