Buckle Toys, Blu Whale, Develop Motor Skills and Problem Solving

When purchasing toys for my toddler I want to make sure they are safe and of high quality. This adorable whale fits the bill! The fabric is very soft and durable with quality embroidered eyes and shapes - so nothing to come off and become a choking hazard. The product had no off-gassing whatsoever as well (something I am always wary of!). There are 6 colorful buckles in a variety of styles (with a few duplicates!). The green and yellow buckles are the same style, as well as the blue and purple. So there are 4 different types of buckles on this toy for your child to learn to master! A couple of them are easier to open than others, and my nearly 2 year old can manage to open the circle style buckle on his own which is nice. The mouth of the whale opens up to reveal a large zipper compartment as well! Another added bonus of this toy (stuffing things in the whale is apparently super fun too!). Highly recommended! I'd be confident purchasing any Buckle Toys in the future too!

I got this for my 18 month old for a long car trip. Although he enjoyed playing with it, some of the buckles were a bit difficult for him and the whale ended up getting thrown a few times in frustration. That being said, his two year old cousin loved this and didn't find it too difficult (though he would get the straps twisted or woven around each other thus making it impossible to buckle which greatly annoyed him). Even the four year old cousin got in on the fun trying to figure out what can fit in its mouth (a fidget cube was the ultimate favorite though a small ninja turtle came close). The quality is fantastic. It's very soft, the colors are bright, and the stitching is durable enough to stand up to a four year old and two year old having a tug-of-war. The numbers, colors, and shapes were lost on the older kids; but my son enjoyed them. He's just starting to learn shapes and colors so it was fun for him to interact with me and point to the red heart with I asked for the blue diamond (cut the kid some slack, he's learning). All in all a pretty solid toy. The buckles and zipper may be a bit of an over-reach for 18 months, but the colors, size and squeeze-ability, and shapes all put it in the "church / road trip" bag

My son recently entered the 'buckle phase' where he cannot resist them. Our friends happened to have one of these in their playroom and I couldn't have discovered it at a better time! I love that it's a soft toy so it's less of a projectile in the car, which is where we keep it now. It's super well made and has shapes, colors, numbers, buckles of course, and even a zipper pouch to play with. This keeps him thoroughly entertained on car rides and I can't recommend them enough. They're worth the price because they're such good quality. About to buy a second one for my husband's car! Would be great on an airplane one day too

My son seemed to enjoy this toy and I think it is a great developmental toy as well. My only suggestion/issue is the length of the straps. I just wish they were a tad bit longer so my son could manipulate the buckles a bit easier in learning how to operate/manipulate them appropriately. Otherwise, I think it's a good toy. I didn't have any issues with the durability of the item and it seems to be holding up well so far.

When I noticed my daughter loves playing with buckles, I decided to find a toy that would keep her entertained and safe. Many buckle toys our busy board with small balls or strings, which made me worry about the potential accident. I want something simple and safer and this whale buckle toy was the perfect solution! The toy is incredibly soft, cute and machine washable, which is a huge plus for any parent. It features different types of buckles keeping my daughter, engaged and happy I can now get some tasks done while she plays safely. Highly recommended this toy for any parent looking for a safe and fun buckle toy!

We bought the buckle whale when we noticed our 18 month old trying to plug/buckle/latch every mechanism he could find. It came just in time for a 12 hour car trip, and kept him quiet and entertained for many hours of that trip and plenty of hours in the car during the next few months. He loves puzzling away with trying to fit different shaped buckles inside of each other. When we first opened it I was surprised to see that there were only three TYPES of buckles: 3 standard claw buckles, 2 flat slide-in-rectangle buckles, and 1 circular disk shaped buckle. I initially thought it was lame that there were only three types for him to puzzle away with learning how to use, but it turns out that our 18 month old couldn't match buckle types or strap colors very well, so the duplicates gave him much better odds of finding a matching pair. Also, be prepared to do all the unbuckling until they're closer to 2 years. We keep a pacifier strap attached when it's just he and I in the car so that I can 'reel' the whale back up front and unbuckle it once he finishes buckling it so he can start the fun all over again with out me driving the car off the road. I rarely buy anything that doesn't offer Amazon Prime shipping. But I couldn't find any other toys out there like this, so I made an exception and forked over a few bucks for shipping. I'm so glad I did! Definitely recommend this for toddlers showing interest in buckles and plugs!

Toy came very early, in time for Christmas. Very good quality and our little one loves it.

I’m a senior who needs to take a pill and apply an eye cream every night once I’m in bed. This cute little whale stores my small cream and pills so I don’t lose them in bed at night and gives me a little smile every time I use it. It’s functional and cheerful both. Highly recommended for anyone who needs to use something at night like eyedrop, pills, a mouthguard or anything else you don’t want to lose in the bed. Please note, the mouth is small so a large tube of cream won’t fit. Also great for kids, of course but I adapted it for what I needed it to do.

Good buy! It entertained my two-year-old quietly for a good period of time.
