Good water inlet valve
When our ice maker went out, I called a local appliance repair to find out how hard it is to get someone out to fix an ice maker. He recommended that we change this valve out first and then the ice maker if that didn't work. This part is very affordable and after watching the videos it is pretty simple to replace. I did wind up purchasing a kit of size of tool to remove the hex nut shaped screws that hold the plate on the back of the frig ( from that cheap hardware store that sells these for less than half of the other stores). It turned out a good decision as the plate was held on by a variety of different size bolts as if they just tossed in anything they could find at the factory. Have a selection of sizes helped a lot. The new part works well as does the new Ice maker we purchased on Amazon after it wasn't the fix.

Quick delivery and side by side this looks identical to the factory part (which had lasted 12 yrs so pretty good run).After getting the water connected it worked immediately and no leaks.Will report back if any issues but I'm very pleased with the value and ease of installation.

Easy install
This dual valve is a direct replacement for our refrigerator. Easy to install, works as it should. I would buy again.

To ensure water flow to the ice maker
There are two main parts in a fridge to make ice: Refrigerator water inlet valve and the actual ice maker. So i replaced both of these parts. This part was relatively easy to install after watching a few good videos on it. I just had to make sure that the tubes were pushed all the way in...more force than you think it needed. Once that was done, I reconnected the electric connectors and it worked great.

Works great and way cheaper than a repair person or new fridge!
Bought this to repair my GE fridge that was leaking water from the valve. It now works fine again and was very easy to install. Note: I also replaced a section of the water line from the solenoid valve to where it enters the fridge because the plastic water line was getting brittle as well. It's cheap and you might as well replace the hose to prevent the next leak :-)
