Calibration Control Rod kits should be used to verify calibration of SystemSURE luminometers. Each kit is comprised of a Positive rod and a Negative rod. The Positive rod emits a very low level of low-energy ß radiation in a plastic scintillation matrix. This matrix is configured to give constant light output, within 10% of its original value, at a sufficiently high level for up to five years. The Negative rod produces a low-light or zero (0) RLU reading, and is used to check that background light is not entering the instrument, while ensuring that the light detector is calibrating correctly. SystemSURE luminometers are designed to self-calibrate at startup, but it is recommended to verify calibration with the Calibration Control Kit once a month. Incorporating the Calibration Control Kit into your overall Quality Control program will confirm that the luminometer is within specifications and operating correctly. Key Features • Easy to use and quick • Good for 5 years Benefits Satisfies GMP and HACCP/SSOP requirements stipulating all measurement systems in use to be properly calibrated and operating within manufacturers' specifications.
