Money wasted. Very difficult to connect to base station
Money wasted. Very difficult to connect to base station. I was unable to get this to fit over my water valve in the end anyway. Probably works for most homes, just not mine. I would still have rated with five stars if it had been straight forward to connect or had easier instructions. I found the instructions very hard to follow.

I stalled the product with the sensor. They both worked the first day. I tried testing it over this past weekend and it doesn't turn on. I am hoping to call the company and have it replaced. Plus I just bought 5 more sensors for the other bathrooms and kitchen.

I think purchasers of this product should know that, yes, this control does not need a separate controller or Smart Home Hub to work. It's meant to be deployed by water alarm sensors that do not connect to your wifi setup. So people who are not interested in putting their system on the internet or onto their cell phones this is the product to buy. What you do need to know about this control EBV105-UMK-LSK is that you need to purchase the water sensors that are matched to this device and programmed by the manufacturer before you get it. No, you cannot just use any water sensor whether its third party or even EcoNet's. It has to be EcoNet's sensors that are programmed to the control. Surfing the net you will find that EcoNet indicates up to 5 sensors is all that can be connected but having contacted EcoNet Canada, for this purchase, they are sending me 8 sensors programmed to the control. I will report back on how they work. In Ontario Canada coming to an insurance company near you the home owner is about to be compelled to install 24 hour water alert alarms with the new Enhanced Water Damage Package that you cannot refuse to purchase.
