Viking Valhalla 100 Series with Irish Linen Wrap 2 Piece 58” Pool Cue Stick, Billiard Cue Stick, Bar or House Use for Men or Women

This is my first cue and it is well designed and it feels great in my hand. I will say however I’m very disappointed to see that it’s made in China. The description is misleading and boasts state of the art facilities In Wisconsin. I got a good stick, but wanted an American made stick. I’ll upgrade the rating after I use it to a 4, but just wanted everyone to know this.

This stick is great. I got the 20 oz. I’ve been playing pool for fun for decades and this is the nicest stick I’ve ever played with. Turns out stick quality really, really affects playability. I cannot make shots with light, crap sticks. This Valhalla is top quality. I think I’m going to buy the 21oz as well.This may help if you aren’t sure on weight, like we were. My wife likes the 20. The 20 feels well balanced and I can’t imagine buying any less than 20 oz. or it will be too light. if you’ve ever played with a heavy stick that felt too bulky, I think that weight would be about 25 or so, if you’re worried about it being too heavy like I was.We bought a different “value” amazon best seller package that included 4 sticks for $40, and man, it really made this Valhalla stick look sooo unbelievable in comparison. I’ll be returning the value pack and just buy another one of these. I wanted to have one nice stick and some cheapos, but cheapos just aren’t worth it. The cheapos are supposedly 15-19oz, but I think they are all 12oz. I was shopping for sticks for our table. Again, I’d say avoid the cheap crap on amazon and get good ones. That’s the lesson I learned anyway.

First of all, let me tell you now... if you are looking for a *very good* quality cue stick for between $50 - $100, you can stop looking now and buy this. I ordered sticks in that price range, from $50 - $100 (each) and NOT A ONE OF THEM WAS ABLE TO BEAT THIS VIKING VALHALLA. Even the $95 Players Maple stick - as nice as it is - could not beat the Valhalla. The stick is 100% straight as an arrow, the tip is perfectly shaped, and the craftsmanship and paint job is amazing. Unless you’re going to spend $200+ for a cue stick, you will NOT be able to find a better stick. Trust me on that one.

Overall, I really like this cue and I'm definitely going to keep using it. It's a great value and shoots very well. But I got it because the picture showed it as very orange. In real life, it's a dark-ish burnt orange at best. It's actually pretty hard to tell apart from my buddy's wood-tone cue when we're shooting, that's how close it is.The butt is about 3/8" longer than my Players breaking cue, which makes it very difficult to get into my cue case. By the time I add the joint protectors you really have to stretch the cap of the case to get it to zip. It's not strictly a problem, but I feel like it's eventually going to damage the bumper on the cue from rubbing so much. I've been looking for a new case for it, so hopefully that issue goes away eventually.

For the price this is a fantastic cue. It feels and shoots as good as my McDermott GCore at a fraction of the cost. I know it is imported (aka made in China) but it was built to Viking's standards for quality and it shows. It would easily cost two to three times more for the same exact cue only made in America. I love my McDermott and I wanted an American made cue because that mattered to me, but when it came time to add some addditional cues for our pool table I had no intention of shelling out for three more. I could not be happier with the Valhalla and would not hestitate to recommend it to anyone.

I'm a casual pool player that shoots several days a week for fun. This is my first pool cue that I've owned, and absolutely love this stick. It arrived in amazing condition, I love everything about this stick. I'm not a competitive player, and if you are looking to upgrade from a cheap walmart stick, then consider this stick. its smooth and easy to shoot with. I ordered the 21oz stick because I like the heavier sticks over lighter one.

The pool table I purchased came will all of the accessories. However, the pool cue seemed to light. I weighed it in at 11oz and noticed a good cue is between 18-21oz. I picked this 19 inch Valhalla cue and love the look and feel. I'm just a beginner basically but even I notice a huge difference in placing the cue ball and the sense of touch that this cue gives. Nice looking also. Very happy with purchase.

(disclaimer) This is my first cue stick.. prior to this I used to play with the bar cue stick.. so I might like it way more than the professional player with an existing cue stick would..But I have fallen in love with this cue stick.. It's a solid cue, 20 oz weight is perfect for.. I wanted to get 19oz earlier, but I saw some reviews that 19oz feels lighter.. so I went with 20oz and I'm so happy I did..The packaging in which this cue came in.. was very impressive.. they were not playing around.. they mean business.. it was a solid round cardboard case which prevents any shipping damage to the cue.. inside there was bubble wrapping..I do recommend ordering your cue stick case also along with this cue stick if you're buying the set for the first time..I ordered both my cue stick and cue case from Amazon and I couldn't be happier with both of my purchases.. It was one of those days, when I was happy to be an Amazon Customer!Great Value!

Amazing cue. Well balanced and straight, the wrap is comfortable in the hands and gives a great grip. The cue plays really well on any table I've tried it on, from beat up oldies at the local bar to brand new felt, it gives you the kind of control you need. Couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase as a first cue to get into pool.

Bought this for my husband for his birthday. The colour is nothing like the photo. The "orange" one i received is brown. Disappointed before he even uses it.

I like this cue and play at home every day about three hours .Thanks Viking for that product
