By living Clean-ish, we can maximize our efforts where it matters most, while still living an enjoyable lifestyle. Review: Content - Horrible. No takeaways. Review: My Call To Action! - This is such an amazing book! I have been thinking for some time that I would like to use products that don't have harmful chemicals or additives but didn't know where to begin. This book lays out all the information on how harmful ingredients can be hidden and how to find out which products are better choices both in all the items we use for personal care, cleaning and even the foods we eat. It can be so overwhelming to know where to start but this book helped me make a plan that I can work at gradually--learning as I go! I am amazed at how it is all adding up. It feels so good to know that I am maker much wiser choices with the products I choose to use.

It's a great book! BTW we have apps in the UK that are similar to the one Gin suggests
What a mine of information in this book. I am listening on Audible and have just also bought the hard copy so that I can use it for reference and also lend it out. I thought I knew quite a bit about what to eat and use on my body and around the home - but this book is just packed full of information - most of which was a surprise to me. The app Gin suggests in her book isnt available in the UK but I belong to a group she runs, and the UK members there suggest Yuka (a free app) which gives ratings on products e.g. beauty, home cleaning - as well as food. I was shocked that what I thought was a good product (mascara) came out poor and the Yuka app then recommends alternatives - they arent paid to do this. Thanks for the heads up Gin 100% recommended. Thanks Gin!

Gin Stephens is a wonderful teacher
I have read and followed Gin’s work with intermittent fasting, and her work has taught me how to truly improve my life. And now with Clean(ish) she has done it again! She is very upfront about the fact that she is an educator (with a doctoral degree), and a researcher, and not a medical doctor. However, Gin has done the work and the heavy lifting of distilling the information needed to make informed choices. Because she too is a regular person who, like many of us, wants to live a “cleanish” lifestyle. One of Gin’s greatest gifts is that she is a realist about progress over perfection. She also presents information in a conversational way that makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend. She shares her own personal journey, which I really appreciate. There is a lot of information here, backed up by a lot of research and scientific studies. She is very clear that she is presenting information that is accepted science, *not* fringe theoretical theories that haven’t been tested. This is important to me and I’m glad that Gin goes out of her way to explain this because I think we are all tired of being confused by hypothetical speculation. Consider this book a great resource if you want to take positive steps to make daily changes for your health that add up over time.
