Both Amazing and Awful in it's own way
Ok, firstly this is a HiLook brand camera - it's a budget version of Hikvision cameras and as such it is a bit more cheaply made than their premium units, but still durable. The shell is plastic, not metal, and mounting is a bit more of a faff than it is with the Hikvision turrets, but neither of these are significant problems in most cases but it's clearly more suited to internal use or a residential setting.During the day, and early evening, these are fantastic cameras - they offer high quality images and good colour rendition. Even in the early evening you can get respectable bright images with 1/25 or 1/50 shutter where some competitors might require 1/8 or slower, this drastically improves clarity.However, at night, where there is no other artificial lighting, they're utterly useless. In my application I get a plain black image. The ColourVu cameras do not have an IR emitter. Instead they have an obnoxiously bright white LED, so the camera might as well be an always-on floodlight. There is no capability to have this source turn on only when movement is detected (or otherwise programmatically) and if you are going to use white lights at all then you might as well just use standard cameras and add white LED floodlights to them.For me, this is completely unusable, and will be replaced with a normal 30m IR range camera. If you are using them in a building or somewhere the constant white light will not offend your neighbours or contribute to light pollution, then they're good cameras, but not suitable for everyone.

let down
camera is ok sadly the housing is plastic and snaps off not twist off so first let downthe rotation cannot be locked in place and not that strong so easily knocked out of place not like the hikvision versions so second let downdoes not allow live view via firefox even thought it says supports it ..this feature was disabled/made not available way back as firefox 50 we are on version 109 now..this is just lazy on hikvision/hilook part forcing you to use internet explorer.cheaper cameras work in all browsers so third let downprice is not worth what is being charged for the lower end camera considering if you are a company you can buy the better made hikvision at a cheaper price so fourth let down
