🌪️ Silence the wind, amplify your story.
The YOUSHARES Deadcat Wind Muff is a professional-grade furry windscreen designed for shotgun microphones up to 4.7 inches long, including Rode NTG4, MKE 600, and Audio-Technica AT875R. Featuring a dual-layer construction with an acoustically transparent artificial fur outer and foam inner, it reduces wind noise by up to 41dB while minimizing high-frequency loss. Its rubber base blocks rear wind interference, making it ideal for outdoor recording, vlogging, and travel. Lightweight and durable, this wind muff ensures superior audio clarity in challenging environments.

This works great for $25 Bucks, fits the Videomic NTG pretty well, seems well made. Did a "wind test" just using my ceiling fan on high comparing it to my Rycote softie and the DB levels and sound were exactly the same. Tested in the field with moderate wind this seems to work well.

The first thing I noticed was the build quality, this doesn’t feel cheap at all. It fits very will on my MKE 600. I haven’t tested wind noise but yet but I’m pleased with the aesthetic.

Whatever you call this type of windscreen the one thing we can agree on is that it is one of the most affordable windscreens on the market today. Other companies offer lesser quality products and charge outrageous prices. The design is surprisingly better than the original windscreen that came with the microphone. Good Stuff.

The rubber cuff can look a little bulky, but thanks to this, it keeps windshield well on the microphone.
