Worked better for me than the official Veinlite
I got several vein finders:- Veinlite LED Plus - Rechargeable Transilluminator Vein Finder- Venoscope II Transilluminator Vein Finder- Rechargeable Vein Finder Viewer for IV Access Phlebotomy, Handhold Vein Illuminator- FDA Registered HGVF637 Vein Finder- Infrared Vein Finder Viewer - Handheld Vein LocatorOn my skin, at least, the best performing was actually the very cheapest one (the no-name "Infrared vein Finder Viewer" which is a small loop of white plastic with an angular handle). It cost less than 1/8th the expensive VeinLite LED Plus. It is the highest contrast, and is also the lowest weight since it is AC powered instead of battery powered. For my use, that is not really a down side.

Not very good
If you don't have skin like tissue paper? It's not going to work very well.

ONLY finds veins that are already visible!
BUYER beware: Just received this product. I am an IV therapist at a large local hospital. This vein finder works well with veins in hands and veins in arms that are ALREADY visible. Adjusting the gain/light only created more background "static" and still unable to locate any veins not already visible.

Almost a slam dunk
Pretty darn good! Would’ve gotten five stars were is not for the extremely short Cord. But I worked around the problem by grabbing a $2 extension cord ! The effort that I had to put into making this an actual viable tool for the intended purposes is what lost in this star rating !

Well worth the cost
We use it for blood draws. So far it’s 100% accurate in locating usable veins. I haven’t used the more expensive ones but this all we need. The only draw back is that it has to plug into an electrical outlet. Not a hindrance for us. Well worth the money.

Great product maybe too hot for sensitive skin
I like the product it performed well you can actually see the vein. The only problem I had is it gets hot. My wife has sensitive skin it was just too hot her to use. I'm not saying it's that way for everybody, my wife it was a little too hot for her to deal with other than that it works as advertised.

Would NOT reccommend
Didn't work (at all) when I received it, and flimsy. Seller very prompt and helpful. Refund was no problem.

Good Value and Works as Described
Used to start IV access for an oral surgery practice. It is portable and easy to use. works in well lit room. I have used it most often in the antecubital fossa, forearm, and dorsum of the hand with success. Have not tried venipuncture for deeper veins so I don't know if this device is more limited than other "vein-finders".
