Simple and effective car repair kit
Onzied that this Bondo body filler makes fixing small dents and scratches pretty straightforward. i used it on my car’s bumper during a quick weekend project, and it smoothed out nicely. the hardener mixes easily, and the application was pretty neat. 😊 definitely a handy product to keep in the garage for those quick touch-ups.

Watch a video on how to use it before you start. Works well.
Watch a video before using this stuff. There are several on the internet. Bondo has been around forever. So much so, its name is ubiquitous with epoxy resin products. I had never used it, but I needed to fill in holes in a wooden door where I switched the swing from in to out. The stuff works well, when mixed properly. The instructions are horrible. They tell you little to nothing on how to use it or mix it. So, on my first round I used too much hardener which turns it bright blue, becomes brittle and does not set up properly. I had to remove it with wood chisel and re-sand. You only use 2% hardener to the mix. That is a tiny amount. When mixed properly with blue hardener, it will be very light sea-green. How you mix it is also important. Spread thinly across a plastic or glass surface to minimize air bubbles. In other words, don’t stir it up with a stick, use a flat spreader. Last, the smell has a high VOC. Use a quality mask, and it lingers for about 10 hours. Not a very good product for indoors, and by far one of the strongest smelling products I’ve ever used. All that to say it works well. Hard as concrete. Did what I needed it to do.

Effective but smelly
I recently used Bondo for a repair project, and I must say, it definitely gets the job done when it comes to fixing imperfections. The product is easy to work with, dries quickly, and provides a durable finish that is perfect for household repairs. However, there is one major downside to using Bondo - the smell is absolutely awful. The strong chemical odor can be overwhelming, especially when working in enclosed spaces. I found myself having to open windows to mitigate the smell while using this product. While the effectiveness of Bondo cannot be denied, I wish the manufacturer would work on improving its scent. Despite the unpleasant odor, I will continue to use Bondo for its reliable performance, but I do hope that the issue with the smell can be addressed in the future. My garbage smelled for a couple of days after I even took my garbage out. That’s how strong The smell was.

14 ounces is a small can
Good stuff but be mindful of the can size . 14 ounces is a very small can!! Basically like a cup of coffee

Strong Smell!!!
Wow, this stuff smells insanely strong. Beware if you plan to use it on an indoor project. Apparently the chemical smell isn’t toxic, but that definitely doesn’t make it pleasant. Works great and is very structurally strong, but I may have used a more expensive option that didn’t off gas as bad had I known.

A first timer can have excellent results
Easy to use for a first time user. Mixed easily. Holding securely. Took the paint nicely. Very happy with the results.

Don’t touch it after it starts to harden.
I had an exterior metal door that was rusted out on the bottom. I got this hoping it would be a bandaid so I could get a few more years out of the door. It worked perfectly for my needs and seems to be holding up really well. It does dry QUICK. I’d guess I was unable to spread it much after about 1-2 minutes. And my tip is: once it starts to become hard, just stop. Any more trying to spread or smooth it around will just tear what you had decent.
