Can the ends of the throttle handle be cut off, and still be usable? I need to mount it further in on the handle bars, and not on the ends

My husband said he does not recommend you cut it.

Do you need a controller or can you wire this direct to the motor?

Yes you do need a controller. Most are really easy to hook up too.

What diameter handlebars is it made to fit?

looks to be 22mm and it uses a set screw (grub screw)
