Let me first say that we had been using a board originally purchased about 20 years ago. Unstable when up and in-use, screeched loudly when opening or closing, and uneven surface when ironing. But we thought that all ironing boards were that way! Rather than purchase a new cover for the worn-out one on the old board, we thought we'd buy a whole new board. We were a bit surprised at how they've increased greatly in price these days. But went through with the purchase none-the-less. Upon arrival I was skeptical because the shipping box was a wreck. Luckily, the board inside was not affected, and arrived in perfect condition. Upon first use, my immediate thought was "why did we wait so long to get a new board?!". This Minky model (odd name!) is just terrific! Very smoothly folds up and down without screeching metal sound. The surface is larger and smoother for ironing. The cover is fantastic as it has "just enough" grab on your item for ironing, but lets go easily to remove it when you're done. The four-tip legs make the board super sturdy while ironing as opposed to the old board's "T legs". The iron rest is useful at times. The cord keeper isn't really helpful, but nice to have it. Overall this new board makes ironing something of a pleasure now! Still work of course, but pleasurable to get it done now. Nice product, Minky!

This is the best iron board. I bought one for me, one for my son and now will buy another for my mother. Its sturdy, easy to open and close and have the perfect shape for ironing dress shirts. I wish it wasnt so expensive, but I guess we pay for what we get.

It’s a good ironing board. I really liked it. Plus’s it has 5 year warranty.

The board itself is decent. Only problem I am having is that it’s missing a foot on the frame completely, and another food is broke in half and fallen off. So, while it’s a nice board, it’s very off balance.

Reliable to use

Love this ironing board. The only issue is I use a small iron and it doesn’t fit the ironing stand, it falls threw but a regular size iron fits perfect.

So I purchased this ironing board thinking I was going to greatly improve on the W--mart basic, inexpensive one that I had. I was very wrong. This ironing board, while being a little sturdier, is not worth the additional cost. The legs on the cheap one and this one are almost identical. The pad/cover is no better than less than $20 one either. Water from the steam gets trapped on the rails underneath and ends up on your shirts while ironing, of course unless your ironing just one shirt. There is already rust forming on the rail of the ironing board due to this. The less than $20 ironing board has the same issue. The Iron holder at the wide end of the board is a nuisance. You can't use the wide end for anything and the holder is hard mounted, spot welded on, so you'd have to cut it off to remove it. I do quite a bit of ironing, work and personal clothing, so have only one end of the board to utilize is an issue and problem. The slide for folding and unfolding the board is horrible. You have to hold the lever up to fold or unfold, if you don't, the slide grinds metal to metal and it's not good. All in all I wish now that I never purchased this ironing board and wasted my money. I should have just upgraded the cover/pad on the one I had. As is stated in the beginning, I thought I was going to be getting a far better ironing board but I was sadly mistaken. Save your money, buy a reasonably priced ironing board and just upgrade the cover/pad.

I have had a not so great ironing board for a while and decided to finally get a good one. I love this one. I wish the pad was a little thicker but overall a great purchase.
