I tried it with 7.5 watt LED bulbs and 20 watt halogen bulbs. It works fine with both including being able to dim them. I also liked being able to connect the wires to the adapter using the recessed set screws instead of having to solder and heat shrink the connections.

Works well. Used to replace wrong plug that came with my lights. Perfect fit. Dimmer made string even better

Dimmer is loose enough to dim one handed, but stiff enough to hold position. Excellent quality.

Item arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. The dimmer works great and is a nice addition to my home office. I had some leftover LED light strip left over from a previous project in my wife's craft room, so I wanted to enhance part of my office desk area.The dimmer dial is a little stiffer than I would've liked, but it works well, and I would absolutely buy this again. This is a great product, and I highly recommend it.

Amazon recommended this item for a 6a strip and the plugs got hot. It's my fault for not checking, but the "AI" should know better.

Some LED neon "line art" displays are best viewed at ultra-low light levels. Light-level controllers that accompany these signs have a limited range of low- to high-intensity light (and skewed more to the bright). Need a soft, subtle light level for that one neon LED display? Get this power supply with the infinite-range rheostat-type dial.
