cute toy
I purchased this toy as a gift for my niece. It is cute and comes with all the instruments that a doctor would use including the lab smock and name tag. There is a bag to hold the instruments, thermometer, medicine bottle, etc. I would recommend for any child. also, the vtec electronic unit seems to be durable as the girls have dropped it a few times already and it continues to work. The price was average for what you pay for kids toys these days.

Dress up with an electric component
This smart chart medical kit is recommended for ages 2 to 5. However I would say more for ages 2 to 4. The five-year-olds might have a fun time with it but I don’t think it’s going to last too long with the chart. It would really just depend on the level of the child of course. There is a quiz section that asks questions and the child has to select the right buttons on the tablet. That is more appropriate for a five-year-old. I have noticed that when my grandkids play together, it’s always very popular when one wants it. The tablet is flat but it is one that responds to touch. The tablet responds immediately when the user presses the buttons. It does work very well. The tablet has a very basic set of functions, ailments, and tools. Certainly this could be a great option for getting kids more comfortable with annual check ups as well.My grandkids have enjoyed playing with the kit. They often make patients out of their stuffed animals or dolls. I haven’t noticed them really wanting to play patient/doctor as much as using a third-party like the stuffed animals. The kit has a pleasing variety of accessories. It doesn’t take up much room either. I do have an old cedar chest I use for dress up for my grandkids and I have added this set to it. I find that it goes nicely in that category for storage and organization. This is a very complete set. It would make a lovely gift since it not only has the electric component but also the physical tools as well.

All in One Doc Play Kit
We have gone through a handful of doctor kits between my 2 and 5 year old as they both love pretending to be doctors or go to checkups. This one is hands down one of our favorite kits because it includes a white coat. The rest of the tools are fine, not the neatest we have had in terms of bells and whistles, but certainly not the lamest. They both play with the "tablet". My 5 year old enjoys playing the games while my 2 year old just likes pretending and pushing buttons while she pretends to complete a checkup.I love that it all fits in the small included tote bag when they're done with it, but I do wish it had a zipper so it would stay in there a bit better

Room for Improvement
When you have a child who learns hands on and needs constant auditory input the talking tablet does just that. However, when it comes to the doctor tools they aren't as hands on. Most don't do anything. Imagine if both the tablet and tools were auditory, with various verbal responses, and more tangible. This opens up a new experience for those with motor planning, executive skills, and speech delays. I had to order another toy by Liberry Doctor Kit to accomplish this. I like the hands on experience each of the tools offered. The light, rotating temperture you can select, and how you can literally hear the heart beat sold me with the Liberry Doctor Kit. These features are not offered with the Vtech tool kit. The Vtech does provide various speech responses that will allow my child to make connections, hear language over and over, and apply direct meaning as she sits and plays with this toy. Its just a shame I had to buy two different products to accomplish this.

Cute toy
This is a cute toy if you have a little one that likes to play doctor. I wish it came with a few more dr tools, but overall it's worth the price.

Beyond adorable!
I ordered this for my 3yo and I am so happy that I did. This electronic patient tablet is shaping up to easy be on of her favorite toys. She loves walking around and diagnosing the rest of us, and then fixing our ailments. All of the accessory pieces are cute and feel well made too. She usually pulls out this kit 2-3 times a day, so I would have to recommend it.Hope this review was helpful.

Fun & Educational. The Tools Could Be More Interactive
My daughters love playing doctor so they have really enjoyed playing with this VTECH Doctors Set. It is fun and interactive way to learn body parts, wellness tips, symptoms for common illnesses and how to help patients. It comes with lots of different tools and accessories as well as an apron that has a velcro closure at the back of the neck.I do wish that some of the other pieces were electronic or even more interactive (eg. the mirror could have a reflective sticker, fake liquid in the syringe, light up otoscope or pager, etc.). The stethoscope has a little button on it that makes pictures spin around but it would have been more realistic if it made a heart thumping noise. The bag it comes with is a good idea but it would be better if it was SLIGHTLY larger. My youngest loves to put all of the tools and the doctors apron inside and sometimes has a hard time fitting everything, especially if she tries to put her patient (a stuffed cat) in at the same time.It only takes 2 AA batteries and so far, the battery life has been great. I like that there are 2 levels of volume too for quiet time or those days you just can’t. Cute, fun and educational toy - recommend.

Another great interactive toy from VTech!
We've been really happy with this little toy medical kit for kids. This comes with a full set of play medical tools, all of which are well made with high quality, brightly coloured plastics. This comes with a little doctors costume which helps add to the "immersion" of it. The most interactive part of this is definitely the tablet that's included. It goes through different symptoms that are simplified for kids to understand. Depending on what the scenario is, your child can pick and choose the right tools to use. It's quite interactive this way, and is an especially great way to help get your child more comfortable with a medical setting in case they've got a bit of a clinic phobia. Overall for the money this is a great play set for the kiddos. 100% would recommend!

Perfect kit to teach kids about their body.
The media could not be loaded. I will break my review into 4 parts: packaging, accessories, electronic accessory, and fabric components.Packaging: For the parent who hates plastic packaging, there isn’t that much plastic in this product. Vtech is doing their best to keep as much plastic out of their packaging as they can. So you have 2 cardboard pieces, 5 recyclable plastic bags, 5 plastic twist ties, 1 sticker paper, 2 paper pamphlets. They definitely didn’t need to plastic bag all the accessories, but they did.Plastic accessories: The actual plastic is thick and isn’t cheaply put together. These parts will definitely withstand a lot of play time. The stickers that come with the set go on these accessories, if you want them on. The only accessory I’m a bit worried might wear out is the stethoscope, the cord on it seems a bit lose and wobbly. There is also a doctors badge that is a laminated material that slides onto the doctor apron. It is made out of the same material as the pages in any VTECH book.Electronic accessory: The main part of this set is the healthcare tablet. Unlike most toys with buttons, these buttons are flat. Other than the test button, which is raised, all of the other buttons I can sense the pressure of a finger. You don’t have to push hard all you need to do is gently put your finger on top of the button and it will play medical information for you. There are two different volume settings, neither of the volume settings are annoyingly loud. The actual tablet itself is a very decent size. It would be large for a smaller child to hold, as it is around the size of a small tablet for adults. It seems very durable, any roughhousing doesn’t seem like it would harm it in any way.Fabric accessories: The last part of this set includes the apron and the bag. The apron is a very decent size and very good quality. There are sewn elastic bits to hold onto some of the accessories. Pockets and Velcro are also sewn on very well. The doctors bag doesn’t have anything as a closure to hold the accessories in, but it is very good quality and has no loose threads. Both pieces seem like they will last a very long time, even if they are roughly played with. This product seems like it will be a very giftable item for any child who enjoys playing doctor. I really like this set as it will familiarize your child with things that they might see when they go to the doctor. It helps kids become less scared of items that will be used such as a stethoscope, as those items are scary when you aren’t familiar with them. It could also help them tell you if they have a tummy ache or a headache. It gives them a new vocabulary and explains what those issues might feel like.
