I carefully placed the headliner material and pressed it in place with the palm of my hand. Once contact is made, it’s permanent, so work carefully. The headliner looks better than new! I also overlapped the material on all edges and applied a coat of adhesive to the top edge of the substrate and rolled the material over the edges which makes the fabric even more secure than the OEM fabric, ensuring that it will never sag, or come loose. The key to a professional looking job in in the surface preparation. Remove all debris from the original fabric and use compressed air to remove any remaining dust and debris, prior to applying the new fabric. Apply only is a well ventilated area and make sure there are no ignition sources in the area, as the vapors from the adhesive are highly flammable and toxic when wet. Also, use a chemical respirator, goggles and gloves when applying. Once cured, there are virtually no remaining vapor emissions.
