Simply Original Dog Treats Biscuits for Medium Dogs, 11 Pounds

My dog always loves these. Truly an OG treat

I live in a high traffic tourist area where many people come for the day with their pets. I know that these dogs would have rather stayed home but that's another story. To make them a bit more comfortable I make sure that I have a large stainless steel bowl with plenty of fresh water available on the sidewalk outside my home along with a supply of Milk Bones as a snack. I go through more than a dozen Milk Bones a day so buying in bulk results in a big savings for me and a continuous supply of treats for our four-legged visitors.

When I was growing up all our dogs were given milk bone biscuits and they loved and thrived on them. I’ve tried “high” priced, all natural, etc. biscuits for our 3 large dogs and they sometimes had vomiting or diarrhea or didn’t like them. I decided to try good old milk bone and my dogs love them, no stomach issues either. Sometimes the basics are the best. And they cost less.

If this is your go to treat, this is a great value. I have them coming monthly with my pantry order. They are not for my dog but I volunteer at the local animal shelter and they do use this kind of treat. So they get a big box from me every month. If you read this far please consider rescuing a shelter dog instead of buying a puppy. There are so many and they need love!

My two labs love these treats. I used to give them the smaller flavor snack bones but one day I read the ingredients listed. I was disappointed that there are several ingredients listed that have raised serious questions about health safety. As more information is coming out about synthetic dyes, Red40, Yellow5 and 6, Blue 1, as well as the carcinogenic effects of BHA/BHT, I have become more selective in my purchases for my family, including our little fur babies. Happily I found these "simply original " milk bones do not contain the aforementioned dyes and preservatives. I hope, in the future, more of the milk bone brand of products will dispense with the toxic dyes and preservatives.

These treats come in a large box that is filled to the top, it has so many treats. I like milk bone because they have a large variety of treats but have a consistently good quality, their treats are also relatively inexpensive based on the quantity you often get. These treats are the basic bone biscuits which dogs enjoy from time to time. I use them as a reward when I let my dog out to use the restroom on her own, if she returns after the first call them she gets one which is something that has worked for me so far. I switch treats after a while to keep her interested but she does seem to like these. Overall these treats are well worth the price for the quantity, 11 pounds of treats is a lot of treats.

Wasn't sure if it was a good idea to buy online, but this product seems as fresh and crunchy as the ones we buy in local stores. This big box is a good value.
