TaylorMadeStealth Plus+ Driver

Yeah, I kept my old TM R1 w/ Oban shaft for 10 years. Loved it, but decided to upgrade as the R1 is the driver equivalent to still using an iPhone 5. I honestly didn’t get fit or even take a practice swing with the Stealth + before I bought it on here.It arrived today and I just got back from hitting a large bucket of balls. I’m a 7.4 USGA GHIN, and average 270-290 off the tee with my R1. Here are my thoughts on the STLTH +:1.) the shaft seems more upright than my R1, so I think the lie angle is 1-2 degrees upright.2.) the sound of the Stealth + is beautiful. The R1 sounded like a baseball bat hitting a metalPole. It was so loud it was embarrassing. People would get startled on the range when I hit it. The Stealth is a nice muted thump.3.) the ball jumps off the face A LOT MORE with the carbon fiber face. Miss hits still feel like miss hits. But the ball doesn’t fly off line as much. Granted, if you have a hook or slice swing, this isn’t going to magically cure it. It MAY help a little but if you’re trying to find a magic bullet to stop hooking/slicing, save your money for a lesson.4.) it’s a lot lighter than my R1. So, it’s easy to start your downswing too steep. Tempo and using a 70% swing is key.5.) I know the Stealth 2 is out. Which is why I bought this 2022 version and saved $300. Marketing is TM’s trademark. Don’t fall for it unless you’re a glamour queen that feels better about yourself by having the latest and greatest.6.) I have the 9 degree with the stiff Hazard RDX Smoke shaft. Mid launch, mid spin. It’s perfect for my 108mph swing speed.7.) the stock grip sucks. Dial your club in first, then put a premium grip on it.8.) it true looks beautiful all around. The red face, matte black and shiny trim makes you feel good.9.) cart girls will see you bomb one 290 and immediately fall in love with you. It’s likely she’ll throw her undies in your face as you walk off the tee. Get used to it.10.) I honestly can’t say I gained any yards. The launch traj was definitely higher and carry was guesstimated to be in the 265 range with a total of 280 most of the time. My R1 had moreOf a lower penetrating trajectory. This is a higher launch softer landing weapon.All in all, I’m very happy with this driver. I will absolutely recommend it to anyone in the market.

The golf club was in great condition. It look almost new.

Driver was no good---worse than my 10 year old taylormade--returned it after hitting 10 balls and Hole in One golf charged me $40 restocking fee--and Amazon would not help even tho two reps on the phone said their A to Z guarantee would help---Lost faith in amazon--usually my first option to buy.

Nice club but it’s not majic. Its not you Stealth, it’s me 😊

Listen all the negative reviews are because of customer service broken equipment or not getting a tool to use to adjust the positions.If his club is the real deal…it’s the club that’s on sale here not all the other crap that doesn’t involve the caliber of club this is. It’s a steal since the new stealth 2 is a bust.

Nice looking driver with great distance

Received new product exactly as shown & headcover included. Shipped by Fedex & received within 48hrs. You do need to purchase tool to adjust driver separately but that is standard now & we already had one. Will definitely order from Globalgolfca again. Great product & service!!!

Received it late in the season. Played two rounds with it and so far the club is a definite upgrade from my taylormade M1 driver. Will posted more info when I play it more in the spring
