First, I'd like to confess that I bought this book for my own reading, but remembered I don't really like to read other books besides the bible. One day when my daughter was visiting, I offered it to her because she seemed hungry for more of God and she loves to read. I learned about the book from Pastor Benny Hinn's teaching on YouTube about the Holy Spirit. My daughter has now had a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit after reading the book! She received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of,speaking and tongues and He now,dwells,within her. Also, I disciples my children myself and they have a,complete understanding of the word of God. In fact, when they attended bible college for a semester, their professor told them they were further along in their studies than others who had attended theology school. Now, her life is changed, I can see the difference the Holy Sporit makes. She is winning souls even more now and she notices she has discernment now along with things have become easier. I also notice a lighterness in our relationship. It was already good but she is relying more on the Holy Soirit's counsel than mine. I encourage anyone who is hungry for more of God to get this book. My daughter prefers to speak in tongues now rather than English. She loves her along time with the Lord. She says things are easier for her spiritually now that He is in her life.

I'm a believer, born again - many many years ago, and I am disappointed that my church never saw fit to teach me what I learned in this book. This material seems like it should be taught to every new believer: "So now, you are born again... now read the Bible every day, meet with fellow believers, and read this book and learn about the power that is available to you, for your Christian walk in this life." In my own case, perhaps the delay in this part of my education is God's timing, but I feel like I would have been more alive and aware and useful over many past years if I had been taught these things earlier in my Christian life. RA Torrey is not spooky or wild, instead what he teaches is practical and Biblical and it connects your life to God's power. I just read through every page carefully, and I have started to read it a second time. After my second reading I will be reading all of the New Testament, and I will understand it as never before. I am already praying with new faith and confidence. If you are a believer you may, like me, discover "what you've been missing" if you study what RA Torrey teaches. Power is expected to work through your life for testimony and for service, it is part of God's provision and plan for you. Blessings to you, see you later.

A good book

This book is really worth reading. If you want to know more about the Holy Spirit, this is the book for you. I never realized how wonderful the Holy Spirit works in me. Torrey is a true man of God.

This book is also a 'must read' for anyone interested in going deeper in their understanding, application, and appreciation for the third Person of the God-head....the Holy Spirit. Torrey has 'nailed it' theologically, doctrinally, and biblically in this much needed treatise on the Holy Spirit.

R.A. Torrey brings the Holy Spirit into clear view and makes Him a Real Person to those of us who were confused or unclear about the Holy Spirit. "God in Three Persons Blessed Trinity."
