25 Gunfighter Patterns for Carvers (Schiffer Book for Woodcarvers)

Not a bad book - but uses same head for all projects

I can't wait to get started on a few of these guys. I'm really new to carving but it looks like even I will be able to follow along very easily. I can already tell that a person could vary the caricature of each one to suit your own needs and or wants.

It’s not 25 different Cowboys. Several are just hands boots and detached heads.

This is a good book, especially for someone just getting into carving. The projects are simple, many templates, and interesting characters. The instructions are well written and easy to follow. The book was written for beginning carvers so projects are not detailed. However, for the more advanced carver, more detail can be added. If you are a beginning carver and enjoy western characters, then I believe you will enjoy this book. It's good training to proceed on with your future carving endeavors.

This book was also a fantastic find. It was filled with a lot of Information for one that wants to carve cowboys. Thanks Jim

I would not have purchased the book if I had a chance to review it. Not quite what I expected.
