needed something to help locate parts of my septic system and field.bought this and am happy.heavy duty.does not bend easily due to thickness of metal and hex rod.recommended.note: one has to set realistic expectations with this type of tool. in dry ground it can be tough going (to some degree). i found it best to use when the ground is wet after some period of rain.

Used for locating irrigation pipe and sump pump drains.

Just received the 60” 3/8” hex and it is heavy as I guess it should be. I’m 6’8” and the 60” is almost to much. The 48” will be better for most people.Primary use will be help in determining foundation and footing depths.It does come with one pointed tip.4 stars for now until I get a chance to use.
