Mississippi Moan

This disc turned even better than I expected. Katz is the best blues keyboardist I've ever heard. He is equally great on the piano and Hammond B3. It is easy to see why Greg Allman uses him as his keyboard sideman. Not only is his technique flawless but he plays so tastefully and with such feel. The band is great too, although personally I would have preferred a bit more guitar and a bit less sax. (I'm a guitar player). If you like this, check out some Bruce's work with Mighty Sam McClain. Songs like "What you want me to do", and "Too Proud" are knockouts! (Audioquest versions).

I bought this CD because Mighty Sam McClain did some of the vocal tracks. I was PLEASANTLY surprised by the whole CD. It is simply amazing. Listen to the little clips on this website. It'll blow you away.
