great travel item!
This item is exactly what I needed! I have trouble with ankle swelling on flights and this not only helped keep my legs elevated, it made me much more comfortable in the terrible airplane seat by taking pressure off my lower back. It is very portable and easy to install. Fantastic item!

Smaller that it appears
This photo makes it look a lot bigger than the sling actually is. Great size for one foot only, two if you plan on keeping them crossed the whole time. I ended up buying a second one for my other foot.

Two Stars
They fold up nice but because it's a sling your feet also are on top of each other.

Best travel gadget ever!
I travel a lot and have been bemoaning that fact that, besides the smaller and smaller space on plane seats these days, most airlines provide no means for elevating the feet on long flights. I find this to me extremely uncomfortable and end up either resting my feet on my carryon bag stuffed under the seat in front of me (not good for items in the bag that are breakable or mushable) or scootching down so that I can prop my knees up against the seat in front me (which results in a numb bum and I am getting too old for this). When I saw that this foot hammock I knew I had to buy it. I chose this one (there are a few different designs available on Amazon) because it seemed to be the best thought out for both comfort and convenience of packing. I made the right choice! I just returned from an overseas trip that involved more than 26 hours of flying. I used the hammock the entire flight time and the increased comfort was remarkable. Set up by hanging over the tray arms is quick and easy. Just had to make minor adjustments for differing heights of the trays on different planes. The clever use of slats inside provide some structure when in use but also the ability to roll it up to tuck into your carry-on between flights. The foot hammock will be on my pack list from now on.Note: I am not sure if the hammock would be useful for tall people with long legs. I am 5'4"

Great Quality Product
I bought this just a few weeks ago for $12.89. I was going to buy another and suddenly the price is over $19. The quality is excellent. I've not gotten a chance to use it yet, but it's very well made and small enough to put in my handbag. Wish the price had not jumped so high.

Light and soft, very functional
I love the concept. I love that it's light and compact so easy to travel with. It has no hard or sharp area where my legs or feet would be pressed on so it's comfortable. I agree with one of the reviewers that it's difficult to have both legs in so what I did is ordered 2, one for each leg. Problem solved. I looked at a lot of other products and they were either too heavy or too bulky. I also bought one for a friend who has to elevate her feet when she travels. She liked it so much, she bought another one also, one for each leg.

Strap is a bit short
I purchased this item for a flight to Europe. I am only five feet tall, so my feet don't quite touch the floor on an airplane. This makes long flights very painful as the seat pushes on the backs of my legs. The foot rest is very light and folds up into a little case making it convenient for travel. The base was plenty big enough to hold both my feet. It hooked on the tray table as described. I felt the strap was a bit short. I had it on the longest setting, but I felt my knees were up in my belly. I'm not sure why it's so short. I did use it intermittently to relieve the pressure on the backs of my legs, but it wasn't comfortable to use for long periods of time. I'm not really sure how somebody with longer legs would be able to use this foot rest.

I highly recommend it- especially if you are short like I am
This portable footrest was a lifesaver on a long international flight I took recently. I highly recommend it- especially if you are short like I am.
