My new EDC knife
Used to use a Kershaw knife that had that awesome assisted opening feature, this knife doesn't have that but it does open very easily.Pros:- Opens easy- Awesome Design- Insanely sharp blade, shaved hair off my arm testing it- Very powerful in a survival scenario- True to the style of a 1911 handgun, the knife's flipper looks like the hammer for a 1911, I think that's an awesome aspect of it's design. And would complement a 1911 setup.- Frame supported, making is very strong- Can switch the clip to either the front by the knife or the end opposite of the knife.Cons:- Not assisted open like my Kershaw- The clip, by default, is not on the top side by the knife, rather it opposes. This is my first pocket knife like that, It has 2 hex screws to take it off and switch it. But I have yet to find a tool that will do it. The closest I've came was a 6pcs precision screwdriver set that I got at the hardware section of a store, and I used the 1.4mm flathead in it, it would not budge even a little out, this could be that it was a flathead inside a hex, or it could be the insane tightness and impossibly small size requiring a specialised tool that I will never use to take it out. I believe it's the latter.

Another winning design from Ken Onion and CRKT
I own about 40 folding knives collected over the years and am a big fan of Ken Onion who used to work with Kershaw. I recently bought several of Ken's new CRKT designed knives(Bombastic and the Hootenanny) and absolutely LOVE them. This is a similar type knife as far as the mechanics and flipper option to open and it's absolutely awesome. An absolute steal for the price...made extremely well with a blade that was very sharp right out to the box and has a curved look that really looks mean. I am also a big fan of Ruger guns so having a branded knife from them is very cool as well. Highly recommend this knife...great looks and style and very well built...good weight and feels very good in your hand.

Ugly. I mean Fugly Ugly. And yet...
Form follows function, so they say, but this knife is deliberately made to look like something it ain't. Sort of a weird challenge for a designer. It's a frame lock flipper pretending to be an old fashioned lock-back. Why? I want to hate it, but it works so well, I can't. Handle length and contour are very comfortable. Nice heft and balance. Action is swift, good lock-up. Stop pins (which also function as thumb studs) are nicely out of the way for sharpening... Pocket clip has options and works well... Quality of manufacture quite good... Clearly lots of good thought put into it. But. It's ugly. If the drawings for this had been in my grasp, I'd have removed the groove detail on the 'bolsters', left off the pocket clip and the recesses for it entirely, and understated the Ruger logo quite a bit. Nothing against Ruger but, you know, come on... I bought two.

Way Bigger Than I Thought
Let's get the actual review out of the way. This is a great knife, it's sharper than my razor, it's a flipper so it's super easy to get out, and it looks really nice. It's also absolutely massive. This is a hunting knife. I feel like you need an Australian accent to actually use this thing as your everyday carry knife. I'll never be able to put this in my back pocket and carry it around and sit down normally, it's that big. When I saw the price of $25, I thought it might be comparable to the CRKT Drifter. Not even close, it's like 3 times the size and weight of the Drifter, which kind of makes me regret buying the Drifter even more than I already did. In conclusion, this is definitely not an everyday carry knife, but it would make an incredible camping knife, and it doesn't need stropping out of the box.

Perfect ‘Every Night Carry’
Though the first example had a somewhat difficult and lethargic deployment, Amazon’s excellent customer service swiftly winged over a second one.ant this one is an absolute beauty. Smooth as silk, flipping open as quick as lubricated lightning and sharp as an eagle’s eye - this knife deserves your interest. Though my compact model (2.75 inch blade) isn’t the tool for the serious trapper or the gentleman of the working day, the sleek design and light weight of this tiny tool make it the ideal knife for the slacks and blazer night - in short the perfect ‘Every Night Carry’. Suggestion...lose the clip...it co-exists in the pocket with the car fob perfectly.

Great knife for women or smaller hands.
Great knife for a lady! I got this knife based on the size, I have small hands and every flip knife is made for giant dudes. This one is not only the perfect size for my lady hands but it's also nice looking and works really well especially for the price. I keep it in my purse for an EDC and use it all the time! Need to cut open a package? done! String hanging off your shirt? Fixed. Pesky banana wont peel? No problem. Guy ask for your phone number one too many times? not any more! (just kidding :) Anyways the action is really smooth and the lock works, though i wish it was a little easier to unlock, the tab is really small.
