This cable is not what I expected...Its thinner and smaller than what I expected...Its a more modern design...Its not like a Monoprice premium cable nor like a Monster RCA or monster knockoff cable...its more akin to a KabelDirekt type RCA cable...The wire is thinner and also the RCA jack is of a smaller more compact design...I like it though and seems to be of high quality even the jack seems to be built well...I would recommend this cable for shorter runs and audio use.. longer runs (more than 10 feet) and for component video you might want to seek out a more robust cable with thicker gauge and a larger rca jack that can give you the separation needed...What worries be about those small jacks and thin wire is you cannot achieve 75 ohm resistance that way...Also who knows what the capacitance is like (although may be improved because of the smaller size)....The jacks do have good insulation and seem to be well designed for their size but its hard to tell how far apart the positive and negative terminals are with in the jack and also what kind of shielding or insulation is used to keep them separate and non interacting... For your MP3 player and or bluetooth devise they should be OK and work well for shorter runs Even a CD player should work well with shorter runs...Also they have to be better than generic non shield RCA cable that comes with many components... I have to try this cable out more...On first try connected to the CD player and amp I thought I detected a very high frequency ring somewhere out in the 19 to 20 khz range...The ringing seems to have subsided but I still want to try some other things first before giving it an unqualified high praise recommendation....If I discover something unusual I will try and report back with the added information. Its also possible the cable is the best available under $30 just not sure yet.

These are my go to brand of rca to rca patch cords. Well made and insulated. Quality signal transmission. I have 2 3 foot and 1 6 foot subwoofer cord. Plug and play.

It's a subject of great discussions. How heavy duty do speaker wires and RCA cables need to be? I've been in both the electronics field, and home systems for longer than I remember. The professional answer is that after such n such size it is hardly measurable anymore. People still fight that. I feel Fospower is well into the near immeasurable range for all but the elite know it alls. I love this product and feel more than confident, these are perfect quality. I don't hesitate to recommend these. Just the tiniest of potentials in falling short of perfection. I didn't have the issue, but I see why it might manifest itself to being a bit loose. Most RCA cables have a split on the outer ring that allows the end to be squeezed in for a tighter grip. These cables are solid and it's a bit harder to squeeze. I won't do that because most likely it would make the outer part more oblong.I heard that some cables arrived with the screw on insulator loose. Easy fix check and snug them before install. That's about the only thing I might find some having trouble with. Again, I hade each grip well. Sound is clear and as good as anyone could ask. Job well done Fospower!

Definitely affordable but far from crap. This was used to eliminate hum from alternator whine. Cable was run separate from power this time and that lowered the whine to unnoticeable levels. Everything sounds better with punchier bass and clearer sound overall so I need to re adjust the EQ again. It's so cheap that if the cable breaks within a few months, I'll just buy another one.
