It is alright
It doesn't weigh that much. And it think it is good quality . But the matte finish on this one is nice. I don't know if the design on this pen is engraved or if it is just a sticker .

This beauty completes my collection
I fell in love with fountain pens with Lamy and became addicted when I discovered the Pilot Metropolitan. These cuties have vibrant colours and the weight and balance are perfect for me. They're made of anodized aluminum, which makes them scratch-resistant and good workhorses. This particular pen doesn't have the foamed box that my other Pilot Metropolitan Retro pens have, but it was significantly cheaper when I bought it. It comes with the squeezable converter and two black cartridges. It is NOT a knock off, I can assure you.

The finest line I get from any of my pens.
I bought this pen to see if a Japanese pen would suit my writing style. It will keep its place on my desk for the very fine line it draws. I have it loaded with my favourite ink, Pelikan 4001, in Brilliant Brown. I still use fountain pens, partly from nostalgia, partly from a deep desire to reduce waste and I greatly appreciated having a converter included with the pen. It's a bit "old school" being of the squeeze variety rather than piston driven, but it works and made this a great value proposition in my eyes. Considering the fineness of the nib, it still moves very smoothly across the paper. I do not know if it needed to be "run in" a little, but when I switched from the included cartridge to the bottled ink, it did seem much smoother.

Not as advertised
Obviously the box had been tampered with - no squeeze converter as advertised - replaced by an ink refill. Spent money for separate ink for nothing. Will seriously reconsider ordering anything for Amazon from n ow on.

Good Product But Missing Ink Converter
It seemed like a great purchase at first, but it seems like its missing the squeeze-style ink converter that is advertised. Which is pretty disappointing.

Good performer, very stylish
A really nice-looking and reliable pen. The colour and finish looks even better in person, but more importantly it writes really well.So far I've had no issues with the pen laying down ink immediately and consistently. I've used the included black cartridge and a Rohrer & Klingner ink I loaded into it with a Pilot CON-40 cartridge converter (not included). It does come with a squeeze converter but I wanted to use a piston type.
