Excellent knife for daily carry
I was intrigued by this knife but a little reluctant to order it when I was unable to find any reviews. I have another knife by Masalong that I am very pleased with so I thought that I'd give this one a chance. I am very glad that I did. This is a very solid knife with a great heft to it. The blade is just under 4 inches and came out of the box wicked sharp. The handle is comfortable and the full tang gives the knife great balance. The size makes it ideal for a daily carry but it's tough enough for heavy use under just about any situation. I find the modified straight edge tanto style blade to be very useful. The kydex sheath holds the knife reasonably secure although I'd be a bit leery of carrying in an upside down configuration. On the plus side the knife pulls out of its sheath without a lot of struggle. I believe that this is a well made knife that should give you years of use. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Awesome !!
Would be 5 star if the handle was a tad bigger but overall totally amazing for the price, super glad i purchased it, the quality and construction was a surprise due to the poor pictures that dont do it justice at all, sheath is great as well, its not a cheap one 5 stars on sheath once i put a clip on it..

This is the best knife I have ever bought.
The design is perfect... could do without the glass breaker, but everything about the blade design is perfect

Exceptionally Durable Camp Knife; Great Quality for the Money
This is my first Masalong knife and, after several months of fairly constant use, I have to say that I'm very pleasantly surprised. I'm really pleased with this purchase. Here's why I say that:Pros-----* Full-tang. For those who aren't into knives, this means that the blade and handle are one contiguous piece of metal. It also means that the knife is really sturdy, and can probably take a lot of heavy use.* D2 tool steel. This is a very heavy, durable steel that should last for many years of hard use.* Thick, heavy blade. Durability seems like the highest priority in the construction of this knife.* EXCELLENT kydex sheath. This is probably the nicest knife sheath I've ever owned, and it came free with this knife. How cool is that?* Ships with a decent edge on it, right out of the box.* Good ergonomics. This knife fits comfortably into my hand, and is easy to use around camp all day.* Cool aesthetics. Let's be honest here: this is a really good-looking knife.* Attractive packaging. I wouldn't be embarrassed to give this knife as, say, a Christmas or birthday present.Cons-----* Heavy. I like this, and it definitely helps the knife be very durable - but some people might not like the weight. I'm not deducting a point for this, but I think it's something you should be aware of.* D2 tool steel is really tough and hard-wearing (awesome!), BUT can also be hard to sharpen. Again, I'm not deducting a point for this - but it's something to keep in mind any time you're purchasing a really hard steel like D2.

Quality is decent but knife is unexciting
The quality of this knife isn't too bad, mine arrived razor sharp, and actually seems it could stand up to a fair amount if abuse. I guess I was just unimpressed by its overall aesthetic look, I think it just has sort of a unexciting generic cheap knife bought at the flea market look to it that turns me off. The sheath is durable and functional, but has a strange sort of bulky plastic belt clip that is adjustable, locks, or can be removed entirely. It's sort of convenient you can take it on and off without having to open your belt to put through the loop, I just don't like how weird and bulky it is while wearing.

Great Knife
I have been training with, working with, working on knives for forty years. I have seen everything from the worst of the worst to the very best of the best. I tend to view knives through a circumstantial lens: I measure a knife, not against all others but, by the purpose and market it is intended to serve. That being said, this knife is actually a very good bang for the buck. It is a good strong knife that takes a sharp edge and holds on to it pretty well. The ergonomics are excellent as are the handling characteristics. It's a weighty knife... not light nor flimsy in any way. You will not fail to appreciate the heft of it. The steel is thick and strong. The grip and sheath are very good for a knife at this price point.Overall, it is a good knife and a good value. This one won't disappoint and it certainly won't let you down.
