10/10 recommend! good pricing and lots of enjoyment.
My son and little family have found these books to be super great! They were recommended by my sons teacher. We bought them and they are packaged nicely. None of them came ripped. MY son is able to read a book every night for homework and making the stories short and straight to the point helps! Now my son is able to tell me what he read.

No color to distract from reading
Great for beginning readers. The books don’t have color, but it makes for less distraction.

Perfect for children learning to read
The books are multi level books to assist children in the reading process. They are all illustrated with the actions of the words written on the page to assist with word recognition. My 5 year old is enjoying them as I am getting him more comfortable with reading.

Small
I looked at the picture and didn't pay attention to diminsions. Books are very small in size.

Great collection of leveled readers
I bought this as part of a curriculum for homeschooling a 5-year-old. The pictures are not distracting because they're black and white and the sentences are short and predictable, perfect for beginner readers.

The size is great for her little-ish hands
I don't normally leave feedback, but in this case I thought I should. I read a lot of the reviews for this product on amazon and I think some of the negative comments may discourage people from buying these books - I know I almost didn't buy them. It turns out that many of the negative feedback that I saw (books are too small, stories are too short, black and white pictures only) turned out to be fabulous positives for my daughter. The size is great for her little-ish hands, the stories are short enough to keep her attention for the purpose (engage her in the print and the story), the word use within the stories (repeating, rhyming, themed) are helping her learn to recognize sounds and letters, and the black and white illustrations keep it simple and are not distracting - I like how she looks at the letters as I'm running my finger along the bottom of words. She certainly did comment on the fact that the images were black and white, and not in color, but I took the queue from another reviewer and told my daughter that we could color the pictures any time she wanted to, and that was sufficient for us to move on with the reading. I have to say I am 100% happy with this purchase and I think the books will be very helpful in turning my daughter into a reader. I'm glad I read the positive reviews, otherwise I would have missed out on these awesome teaching tools.

Cheaply made; no colors and only 4 pages folded in half for each book
Cheaply made; no colors - yes, I realize they can color it in, but that is different from "reading". The books are small; only 6" wide x 4 tall" and only has 4 pages (2 folded and stapled in the middle) and my child fiddles with the staples used for binding as well. Lastly, it would be nice if - especially for the $35 price tag - they came in their own little box.
