Very sturdy and squirrel proof! Dismantles for easy cleaning.

Birds used it straightaway ! Maybe the solid base will be a problem though. Would have been better with a base that the food etc could fall through.

These feeders are brilliant in the garden. Very sturdy and all the wee birds can get in without the larger birds stealing their food.The plate at the Botton stops any seeds falling to the ground, they get caught in the bottom for the birds to eat.My mum bought one and is now buying them as Christmas presents!

I have tried every different type of small bird feeder to fend off unwanted animals, but sadly each has it's own weakness. This one has started to attract numerous crows and magpies, who can easily perch on it to reach in with their beaks to take the food.Aside from that, it is a very well made item and looks really nice in the garden. Shame!

This bird feeder has brought back the small birds to my bird feeder area. Squirrels have lost interest trying to gain excess to the food . They trying shaking the feeder to get some food but in general have moved on to easy feed options

Squirrels attacked the fat balls inside 1 hour of filling. I have tried addition wire to prevent their access but doesn't work either. The little grey tree rats seem to find a way as the curve at the bottom allows reasonably easy access to the bottom of the fat balls. Smaller squirrels can get their heads through wire squares higher up too. Nice looking item but not squirrel proof except for seed and peanut containers. That said I will wait and see if they can get at them at some point too.

This is a really sturdy nice looking bird feeder but the squirrel are still able to take food out of all the feeding stations.
