Not 24K read before buying. Save yourself the trouble!
So I purchased this because I was starting up an experiment with grinding gold leaf into powder/dust.As they can be quite expensive. The half empty container was sent back to Amazon and I received a refund. Thank goodness. But this is literal false advertising. First the container and “the seal” because of what it is you lose a quarter of the gold to the seal. I literally scraped for over an hour trying to remove every last speck. But the dust was stuck into the styrofoam. Then I started the grinding process. Yes there is actual gold in there I would say 10/14K because of how many yellow specks I had. The rest of it immediately tarnished. In the gold world that means NOT 24K. This is supposed to be pure. Whatever mix of gold, copper, nickel and zinc is “all edible” that is great but at the end of the day if someone has allergy to any of that. Big deal. This is one of those things don’t spit on my cupcake and tell me it’s frosting. Say it’s not 24k. It’s 10k made to look like 24k and save people the time and energy returning it because yes that half empty unsellable bottle went right back. If you properly labeled your product you would save your company a ton of money. And your consumers a lot of wasted effort.

Very little inside
It’s pretty gold but when I opened package there was barely any gold flakes in there side note would be great for small projects like a single cupcake or accent on a cupcake due to being very little in container

Mixed feelings
So I obviously went straight to the reviews before purchasing and I saw the disclaimer about the amount given in the 30mg bottle. The size would have been perfect and enough had it been filled with the same amount the picture shows. Mine was pretty empty when I opened it. I worked with what I had and I was barely able to cover the trimming of a 10inch cake. The flakes were a little hard to work with given they would either get stuck to the tweezers and toothpicks I used to transfer the flakes or they would kind of turn into a powdery form. I’ve never dealt with these gold flakes so I’m not sure if that’s how they work. Like I mentioned, the cost of the flakes would have been ok had the amount shown in the picture been the same. The color was perfect and overall it made the cake more appealing to me. Maybe I got a bad batch so I’m willing to try this product again.
