Great look at screen printing today
This is a very stimulating book ... it is so full of COLOR! Each page has a crisp image of a print, and every one is just as interesting and engaging as the last. If you love design, especially graphic design, this deserves to be on your shelf. There is a wide range of technique and style, enough to suit many different tastes.

Not your normal silk screen book
Mr. Perry has compiled a very strong cross section of screen prints reflecting a new look and feel where this generations's genre is heading.Short on words, but long on visuals, Mr. Perry understands, that as designers, we want to see things, not read about them. His thoughtful approach to be inclusive to a variety of different styles, yet focusing on work that simply departs from the norm. His insight into the new and upcoming generation of post modernists pays big dividends to us, his audience. In a way, this book is retro, departing from the thought that everything wonderful has to come out of a computer. Drawing, painting, and content become reintroduced in visual thought. Color, translucency, unregistered imagery are evident to the viewer to savored and sampled. This is a great book! Michael Perry has demonstrated his ability as an editor/compiler measures up.

Yet another great book
If you are looking for inspiration, there's a wide range of work from a number of talented printmaking artists/designers. Like the rest of his books it features work from people with a knack for tactile design. However, in this case the hand done aspect does not only apply to the design/illustration itself, but to the printing process too.

Ryan's review
I purchased this book as a gift and recipient was thrilled to find it under his Christmas tree this season. As he is not a practioner of this artistic craft, he is appreciative of the craftsmanship demonstrated throughout the pages. He rates it 5 stars.

This is not a how to book.
I thought this would give how to information on the different techniques used, but it really just a gallery of different artists work.

Illustration-style prints
This book has lots of interesting, clever images, I would of liked more explanations of how some of the prints were achieved though. I am a fine artist, so it was erring on the side of graphic design a little too much for me as well. There is certainly a common style running through the book, so if you don't like the flyer/animal/album art thing then you might not find this useful. Lovely book for extra examples of screenprinting though.

Lovely book!
As a student, I'm chuffed to bits with this book. It's not a how-to book it's more of a book you'd use to research new (and very talented) screen print Artists. Bought this as an aid for my final year at University and now I'm buzzing with inspiration! Thank you Mike Perry!
