Does the foil tool come in this kit or is it a foil only kit?

Yes, the kit has the tool and a few sheets of foil.

Can someone please tell me exactly what you received in this kit?

I would like to try and clear the confusion... this listing has two options 1. Foil transfer kit (which i purchased) & 2. Foil transfer inserted cards (which i did not get). The "KIT" comes with the tool and a couple of small silver and gold sheets of foil, the "CARDS" appear to be a set of cards plus a couple of small foil sheets.

I just saw a video using the foil tool to score on the Joy. Has anyone tried doing this?

Hi Linda, we have a foil tool for the Joy machine, but it is different than the foil tool for our other machines. Just make sure to purchase the correct tool and you can use it on the Joy.
