Sand before gluing!
I would suggest that you take a bit of sandpaper and rough up the surface that glues on to the shoe...this should help the adhesive bond better.

I like how pliable they are, but . . . . . .
I like how pliable they are, but too small and not as thick as I thought they would be - Will keep these and get a bigger size, hopefully same color. I would recommend just check out the size you need..... And no nails or glue the purchase :(

great product, pleasantly surprised
I am a heavy heel hitter and my running shoes wear down quickly. This product adds new life to my worn heels. As suggested, keep glue in the fridge. It keeps for months this way.

but better than the shoe repair option for @ pair
A bit long with no nails, but better than the shoe repair option for @ pair. The color is good for lighter colored spring and summer soles. I get a minimum of two seasons this way.

Great for patching wear spots on the sole of tennis court shoes.
I wear holes in the soles of my tennis court shoes after about 20 hours on court, especially at both toe and heel edges of the sole. This happens even when I purchase the expensive New Balance "endurance" sole shoes, for over $100 per pair, which are supposed to be "guaranteed to last a year." (New Balance will only replace a single pair of shoes per customer--and then no more.) I now use these non-marking plastic heel plates to patch my court shoes. Just glue 'em on any wear spot with Weldwood contact cement ($5 per 3 oz bottle at Home Depot or WalMart - and holds much better than shoe goo), let 'em dry 2 days, and they're good to go again. Who can afford to replace court shoes every month? Hope this helps someone! Cheers

Five Stars
I thought they have peel off adhesive (wrong!). They should have instructions for attachment to various shoes.

Good only if you nail it.
Won't really stick even if you use contact cement. This is only good if you nail it. It's so smooth under and doesn't have roughness to stick
