Tess Strebel canโt recognize her own face. She canโt recognize her home. Her bedroom is unfamiliar. And she canโt remember the handsome stranger lying next to her in bed. A stranger who claims heโs her husband. Tess reads a letter in her own handwriting, composed during a rare lucid day, explaining her life as it now exists: She was in a terrible car accident one year ago. Every morning, she wakes up unable to remember most of the last decade. Including her own wedding. Tess has no choice but to accept her new life and hope her memory will return. After all, why should she doubt the letter she wrote to herself? Or the kind man from the wedding photos on her dresser who seems to genuinely care about her well-being? And then Tess receives a text message on her phone . One that changes everything: "Donโt trust the man who calls himself your husband." Review: Another Frieda FAB!!!!! - โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโจ (4.5 stars) Oh, this was such a good book! It had me turning pages late into the night! I couldnโt put it down. The way the story unfolds is absolutely riveting, with tension that keeps building chapter after chapter. I was slightly disappointed with the ending. I did like it, but it didnโt feel quite as intense as the rest of the book. Tess survives a car accident that leaves her with short-term memory loss, and from there the story takes off. A devoted husband, a caretaker, a so-called โbest friend,โ and an ex-fiancรฉ she nearly married all weave together to create a suspenseful story. Review: A Riveting Exploration of Memory and Identity - "Do You Remember?" by Freida McFadden offers a compelling dive into the depths of memory and identity, weaving a captivating narrative that lingers in the mind long after the final page. As a devoted reader of McFadden's work, I embarked on this journey with high expectations, and while I found it engaging, it stood apart from the author's previous gems. Tess Strebel's life takes an unexpected turn when she wakes up to a reality she can't recognize. The story unfolds with Tess struggling to piece together the fragments of her past, the contours of her identity constantly shifting. McFadden expertly navigates the complexities of Tess's predicament, highlighting the vulnerability and confusion that accompany memory loss. The narrative is centered around Tess's poignant letter to herself, a candid and heartfelt attempt to bridge the gap between her past and her present. Freida McFadden's writing skillfully captures Tess's internal struggles, evoking empathy from the reader as they witness her attempts to reconstruct her life. While "Do You Remember?" delves into intriguing psychological territory, I found myself occasionally grappling with the pacing and the unfolding of events. As Tess's journey unfolds, some twists and turns appeared more far-fetched than in McFadden's other works, leading to a somewhat diluted sense of immersion. The conclusion, while undoubtedly shocking, required a suspension of disbelief that felt more pronounced compared to the author's other masterful narratives. Despite this, "Do You Remember?" remains a thought-provoking exploration of memory, identity, and the fragile nature of human perception. Freida McFadden's ability to conjure emotions and elicit introspection is undeniably present in this novel, making it a worthwhile read. As I reflect on the pages that captured Tess's intricate journey, I appreciate the unique questions it raises about the stories we tell ourselves and the truths we choose to embrace. In the grand tapestry of McFadden's literary achievements, "Do You Remember?" may not stand as my favorite, but it is a testament to her prowess in crafting intricate narratives that captivate and challenge readers. The novel prompts us to contemplate the elusive nature of memory, reminding us that the quest for truth is often an enigmatic and deeply personal journey.

Good read, but a little repetitive
Itโs a good, fast moving read but it gets a little more repetitive than necessary after several chapters beginning with Tessโs morning amnesia. Graham was a great cruel character. He was fun to despise.

My least favorite Freida Mcfadden book
I have ALL her books and am crazy about her. They are all good, but if I had to put them in order, I would rate this one rock bottom. Why? Because it's not very nice about her obsession with her old boyfriend even though she's married, way too much about the dog, and repetitive waking up every day the same

Gripping book, easy to read
Frieda doesn't disappoint. The plot is gripping as usual and it keep you guessing. Too bad many people are not able to read properly so she had to specify that the last chapter had a very clear title. Pay attention to the time line so you will be able to understand if the story has a happy ending or not.
