Mounted on my old Lincoln welder to turn it into a DC welder. Works great

Excellent on my Lincoln box
I purchased this in order to convert my quite old 180 amp AC Lincoln red box welder to DC by cutting the welding leads and attaching them to this rectifier with the leads attached to the other side being DC. I have found this to work very well. There is, I believe, some power drop, but it is minimal. I did find it very difficult to use 1/8" 7018 welding rods, but 3/32" rods worked very well. I had no problems with overheating, but must point out that I never set the amperage higher than 145. Amperage is the only setting on this early-1970s vintage box.
