Running shoes for Ice
These are great shoes for runs on icy pavement and winter conditions. I run in Western NY. Traction is great on ice, snow, salt-slush. The only downside is dry pavement. I will actually seek ice patches because dry road sounds harsh on the cleats. 100% ice over with a little snow is heavenly conditions for these shoes. Softest, smoothest runs ever!!My foot size: 9.5, slightly wide, neutral strideThe toe box is wide and comfortable. These are true to size and maybe even run a tad large. I only wear my normal running socks but there seems to be room for heavier socks for additional warmth. The shoes are light weight and well made. I Love the high quality laces.I have not tried them for any winter trail runs. I wear Salomon Spike Cross for winter trail runs.

Outstanding Traction in Snow, Ice, and the Road Between
After watching a video from an endurance runner in South Dakota, I decided to give these shoes a try. I live in Incline Village, NV (North Lake Tahoe) and don't have much flat ground at all in my neighborhood. After walking our dog a couple of times to see how the shoes would feel, I have now run in them twice. Once with packaged snow/ice and another with fresh snow (and some tire tracks from cars that were out before the snow plows). These shoes have performed perfectly. I have never slipped (uphill or down) and feel 100% comfortable in them. For what it's worth, I'm 6' 0" and 190lbs. I will be buying a pair of their winter boots as well so I don't have to wear my running shoes while walking the neighborhood with the dog.

Great Winter Trail Shoe
My Icebug Arcus GTX shoes have provided great traction during my morning walks on gravel trails even when the surface is coated with icy snow. The roomy toe box fits my foot very well. I appreciate the light weight, cushioning and excellent waterproofing. Because of the metal studs i don't wear them indoors. I would definitely buy these shoes again.

Icebug Arcus GTX - Misleading "free return" policy through 3rd party vendor (Al's)
This review is about the Al's misleading FREE RETURN policy. When purchasing the pair of Icebug Arcus GTX I specifically chose a vendor that offered FREE RETURNS. Btw, the pair of Icebug Arcus GTX seemed well-constructed but they were too stiff and the soles were too thick for my purpose. After the vendor received the item, they send me a notification of my refund minus a "restocking fee of $6.56." It would have been good to include that information on the Amazon site. I called the vendor to inquire about the FREE RETURN they advertised. They told me that they are providing "free shipping" and I'm being charged $6.56 for the shipping label. I have never heard of this before. How is this different from paying for shipping. Is it a restocking fee or a shipping label fee? If the company charges for returns, they should state that clearly or at least not advertise FREE RETURNS which is very misleading.

very Nice
Easy on and laces cinch up so well and so fast. Great grip. Studs are very noisy on cement.

Wish I had known about Icebug YEARS ago!
I have always use strap on ice cleats. These shoes combine it all in one. They are super super comfortable and easy to walk in. Only problem I had was I needed to size up to accommodate my heavy winter socks. Worth every penny!
