I have eaten other "snack" bugs just to try them. These are the worst thing I've ever had. The texture is very unsettling and not what you expect when you hear JERKY. This was more like thick dry brittle seaweed texture. The flavor was like smokey earth. Some people may love them... but not I.

If you want an honest review here it is, great gag gift I'm sure everyone's going to love it. I was curious and wanted to see how it would taste. Initial taste was okay, then you get to the underlying earthy notes. It is extremely thin which is what you should expect from an earth worm. After chewing on it for a while you get a another weird taste, I can't exactly describe it. It might just be that I'm used to eating meat, but the insect jerky could be a lot better. I'd recommend buying it just to try it, not to actually enjoy it. It comes in a decent sized bag but on the inside you'll find another smaller Ziploc bag which contains the actual jerky. I give it 3 out of 5 stars as a gag gift. I give it a moderate 2 out of 5 for a snack gift. I'm sure everyone's going to end up eating insects at the rate we're going with this planet. Might as well get used to it.

Ordered for a weird food challenge for a Fear Factor Party.. Thought this would be one of the creepy items the kids would avoid and it'd just be there for the effect.. Yeah, the kids actually ate the worm jerky and finished it after the game. They said the texture was weird becuase its so sticky but the flavor was better than the snapping turle or gator jerky.
