These lights are so easy to install batteries and to use!! They are small, but very, very bright and great when you have an unexpected power outage. They have no confusing buttons, are very sturdy and can be hung by handle for lighting larger area. I am now set for light and my next power outage.

I have 2 similar tac lights and I was looking for 2 more of the same type I bought years ago. These are just perfect. There isn't an ON/OFF switch so I don't have to hassle trying find an ON/OFF switch if we should lose power in our house or basement. It's so easy to use -- pull UP for ON and push DOWN to turn it OFF. Stays in place at any level when I pull it UP. or push it DOWN I'm going to buy a couple more of these so I can put them in different places on each floor of my home. Good brightness. Does not appear to brighten an entire room -- just a small area . Adjustable to the extent that you can pull it all the way UP for full light or halfway for partial brightness. Does not have a dimmer switch which I find unnecessary because of the different type of UP and DOWN adjustments I can make. Great product, reasonably priced and well made.

I purchased this lantern for my dad who misplaced a larger, bulkier, camping lantern. It is lightweight and the light is very bright. I read how one reviewer used paper to diffuse the light somewhat and I think if I purchased one for myself I would do that, too. I do like how it uses only three AA batteries rather than the larger batteries needed in some camping lanterns.

I trust the name of Bell & Howell. I like the weight, the number of hours of operation, & the appearance of this Camping Light.

I live in Florida so I bought 2 of these for the hurricane season which has just started so I have not had the opportunity to use them yet. I put batteries in and was surprised at the amount of light that they gave off for a small lantern. I like the fact that they are small because they are so easy to handle. Delivery was very fast so at this point I am a happy camper and glad I bought the product. I'll try to repost after I have had a chance to put them to the test.

These lanterns are life savers when we have power outages. They (I have several) really perform well and I would recommend that anyone keep a couple in a cupboard just in case.

Awesome lantern. I can see us using this for camping, or power outages. Very bright, I advise don’t look at directly. You can manage the amount of light needed by raising or lowering the top, it slides up and down. Super lightweight and portable. Would recommend.

Like everything about it, maybe the price not so much. We get a lot of power failures and if I cannot watch TV or use my PC there is nothing I would rather do than read, while listening to a battery radio. This unit provides ample light for reading and to carry and light your way when going from room-to-room.

Seller was good and fast shipping. I gave it a 4 star because the produce works great and very bright as described but the casing in plastic. I just wonder if it will hold up well. Don't regret buying them and they be very handy.

You control the brightness by raising or lowering the top part consequently exposing more or fewer LEDs. Just partially open is sufficient for reading. Fully open, hang it above eye level as it is quite bright indeed. Brochure states the batteries can last "up to 10,000 hours". Generally suspicious of "up to" claims but LEDs are very efficient. Can confirm the batteries will definitely last "at least" 4 hours. Will update this posting if and when they run out.
