You can also apply a light beading around the lens for extra protection. Do not expect these to be waterproof out the box. The hardware is not quite SS, if at all. For marine use, you will need different hardware. Know this going in, and you will be happy with the product. Power wise, they use about 1.25 amps. There are other lamps that give the same or more light for less power, so keep that in mind if you have a tight power budget. You can expect two good years out of these with modest use. You may lose an LED or two, and the lens will yellow over time. Keep in mind that you paid very little for these. These are a great value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ good light for the money *by T***N on August 17, 2019* I use this to light up my boat as a tee top mounted light front and back. I bought a boat and the owner had just installed them. I did get a a bad unit and had to replace one super quick...only lasted a few weeks, but the 2nd one was fine. The one that went bad had water in the housing after the first rain and I think it was just a defective unit. I ordered 2 more and replaced the bad unit and so far so good. The light is very bright and lights up the entire bow of my boat. One negative is the bracket. For a exterior mounted light it was already rusting completely through after 4 months. I would like an option for a stainless bracket even as an uncharge option.
