I've used this brand of Macuna Pruiens before and others, this is the ONLY company that's actually created a Macuna supplement that genuinely WORKS! I've tried a lot of supplements over the years as my hormones change and I find myself slowing down, feeling not-well, and actively watching myself age faster than I think I should. I stumbled upon some literature about this herb regarding focus for neurodivergent minds and kept researching. What I learned led me to try it for the monthly cycle of sadness I was experiencing in my mid-forties. I couldn't seem to shake this one symptom and it was clearly tied to a pattern, but also felt very unwarranted. I had no reason to be on an emotional roller coaster and I didn't want meds. I just wanted to support my dopamine processes and balance things out in my brain. I'm on my third month and I feel like it's meeting my goal, starting from the first day. I take it in the morning since I tend to be the lowest on dopamine when I wake, and rarely I'll take a second in the evening if the world is extra annoying. It's not like a magic supplement or anything that makes you feel different—but it's helped me stay out of the low points and kept my thought process clear and consistent. I didn't experience any side effects or weird symptoms with this supplement.

I have been trying supplements to help get out of this funk I've been in after turning 40. Mucuna made me feel like a new me after taking it the first time. I feel good. I've been taking it for a couple of weeks now, and I am cleaning my house and making dinner again. I am connecting with friends again. I am dreaming again, which I hadn't in a while. I'm not saying this stuff magic, and I'm sure everyone is different, but it's worth trying.

If you are the type of person that can't shut the mind off when they sleep, these are for you.I do suggest that you take them 2 - 3 hours before you want to sleep.Make sure that you have the time to get a full night's sleep of 7 - 8 hours, or you will awaken groggy.At the beginning I needed to take a full tablet every day. Now I only take a half a night for sound sleep.I know nothing about pain relieving properties.

This is my first Amazon review, after hundreds of purchases. However, I had to take a moment to write a review in hopes of benefiting others. I recently purchased a book on Amazon called "Feeling Blah" by Tanith Carey. It explains what Anhedonia is (look it up) and her supplementation recommendations to help not feel so "blah".I purchased Mucana, along with a couple of other types of supplements, and after three just three days I noticed that I was less anxious, less irritable, more talkative, less stressed, and perhaps a little happier. I isolated this from my other supplements to identify which one was making me feel this way and concluded that it was indeed Mucana.It also seems to help my energy and cognitive ability and doesn't feel like a stimulus in any way - meaning no jittery feeling. My husband also takes it and has noticed improvements in other areas physically, and energetically - including libido. It is now a part of our daily routine.I am female, almost 52 years old and my husband is 56. I generally take it in the morning before eating anything, which entails good high fats. The morning routine seems to help with my work day. On the weekends, I take it a little later - especially if I have social events or entertainment to do - as it seems to make me more social.Anyhow, I hope this helps anyone decide whether or not to give it a go. I am against most pharmaceuticals and always on the hunt for natural remedies for everything. This is now in my top 10 daily supplements to take.

i’m certain everyone has a different experience / results when taking a supplement.i’m sharing my experience in case it helps you.i took this specifically for the antidepressant and energetic side of it and in only a week, i am feeling better. i struggle to say that about other supplements.i have had zero energy for (or want to do any) tasks around the house since 2020 and my energy and mood are improving nicely.i did not experience any of the other digestive, etc. issues others mentioned.not sure how long i will continue taking but am very happy so far. will update if anything changes.

I’m giving it three stars because it is clear it helps many people, but I wanted to take the time to write this warning because this product made me feel as if I were drunk or taking a long time to wake up from anesthesia. I have ADHD, which studies have been revealing is (among other known and unknown factors) a “dopamine disorder”, but they don’t yet fully understand why dopamine doesn’t work as it should, because it’s not simply a case of raising dopamine, it also has to do with the receptors. Anyway, I am no expert, and that is my layman’s explanation, but this product raises dopamine and was terrible for me. As soon as I got off it, I felt normal again.

The only Mucuna product that doesn't give me a raging headache. I've tried numerous brands, but I could never take it long enough to see if it worked because of the awful pains it gave me (within 30 mins of taking it). I trust Himalaya, in general, and I used several of their products... but this one is by far the best Mucuna I've tried. Actually works, with zero side effects.
