Tovolo Steady Sticks Wine Glass Holders - Set of 2

I've spilled a fair amount of expensive wine on the grass in my time, so a use-it-anywhere-there's-a-soft-surface wine glass holder is an attractive concept. Unfortunately, they are also a bit tricky to use. The delicate twist/lift action that is necessary to get the wine glass out of the holder is distracting and inconvenient, detracting from the pleasure of the moment. Still, it's definitely superior to watching your wine trickle away in the grass because the glass decided to tip on the uneven surface, or having to maintain a constant hold on your glass while trying to eat your food.

LOVE THEM!Yes I agree I admit I was a little disappointed when I first opened the box and saw how short the sticks were, but then I realised that your glass would be on the grass/sand anyway and these sticks are meant to be holders that would probably be at about the same level.A longer stem may be hazardous around a picnic blanket if you are regularly getting up etc.Can be used with wine or champagne glasses - size of glass is not relevant.Anyway, they work perfectly, I have no problem "twisting" the glass to get it out - I HIGHLY recommend them.An inexpensive and useful item or gift.

These have been useful for when we go camping and want to drink some wine on the beach without getting sand all over our glasses or drinking out of mugs. I could also see these being a great on a picnic or for backyard entertaining.The only drawback is that I don't know if I'll get a chance to use them as much as I'd like!

Best picnic accessory of all time. It takes the redneck out of your picnic with one simple stake. You can have your wine, in a stemmed glass instead of a solo cup, and drink it too without worrying about it spilling. Say goodbye to duck dynasty and hello to wine country.They are pointed on the bottom for easy grounding and will stand up to a mallet if you need some assistance getting them hammered into a dry tough ground. People will stop you and ask where you got them. Don't be fooled by some of the cheaper versions, they are not all as sturdy.

Every summer my friends and i go to the local Botanical Garden and parks to listen to live bands, dance in the grace and drink wine and share food. Since we sit on the grass there isn't really a place to stabilize a wine glass so I just push these into the ground, voila! Love 'em

I bought a set of these from Crate & Barrel and I also bought this set from Amazon. I wanted to compare them - I had only heard of people using the C&B ones at music in the park. These are identical. The box is even the same (just with different coloring/branding). I'm excited for it to warm up so I can shove these in the ground and break out the Chardonnay!

Perfect if you are sitting in the grass, just a few inches from the ground. I would prefer them to be taller, and align next to a beach chair, and not such a trip hazard.

Well made, easily anchor in sod or maybe even sand. Only downside is having to tilt the wine glass to get it inside the loop.

Disappointingly when you open the box it becomes obvious that the bottle holder in the photos is sold separately. This isn’t clear from the product description, so the photos seem misleading.
